This was pretty cool. @FedEx now uses their own air tag for package tracking on expensive deliveries. Didn’t get to snag a pic before the driver ripped it off my delivery. Was pretty cool to see they have that as an option now for package tracking

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

The neat thing is that existing API behavior if used correctly, will just do the right thing when possible. If you turn cache miss warnings on, you can detect good and bad behavior. I had some vibes that Opus 4.8 was performing worse than older ones for some of uses that are off distribution and now I have the receipts. Latest Opus/Sonnet are causing tool invocation failures on Pi's edit tool when older ones did not! I wrote about it. lucumr.pocoo.org/2026/7/4/bette…
