AI slop has gotten bad enough that LinkedIn is reportedly taking action. Even wilder: Cloudflare says 57.4% of requests to websites it hosts are now bots, vs. 42.6% from humans. Hoping this tips the scales back towards authentic, in-person relationships. One can hope.

Lessons From the Deal Table One thing this week reinforced for me: Clean financials don't just make a business easier to sell. They make it easier to buy. I've been working through a situation where the internal financial statements and the business tax returns didn't tell the same story. It's simply the result of years of running a business without true exit planning in advance. The solution was rebuilding and reconciling the numbers month by month to tell the true story. But here’s what happens: Buyers see this, and they begin asking more questions. Requests to the Accountants for additional documentation = DELAYS and SCRUTINY early in the process. One of the best investments a business owner can make, whether they're planning to sell next year or ten years from now, is making sure their financial reporting accurately reflects the business they operate. Clarity creates confidence. I continue to see endless loan requests of negative cash flowing people wanting to do deals to make themselves cash flow. They have assets with equity but zero net cash flow. So many people close to bankruptcy
