Agree with this. You need top tier strength underlying IP to make a TCG that people will consider playing and Azuki is not that. Feels more like an exercise of self indulgence for the rich nft holders rather than a serious attempt to break into the already competitive tcg space

@Kurogod I wouldn’t go that far because there are still no real alternatives to the big 2 at least from a value perspective (TAG is the closest but they have issues as well) Really I’d just like some see some actual regulation in the grading market.

@Cryptopathic This is true and you’re right that it’s basically a tax on OCD. In a perfect world a Beckett 9.5+ would be worth the same/more than a PsA 10. It doesn’t help that PSA’s parent company has just bought Beckett though it should not have been allowed from an anti monopoly perpective

Grading is a scam on people who are OCD-like Authenticity is a very important service but the price spike between a 9 and 10 is insane. You can get lower grades with no noticeable damage and enjoy it just as much. Grading judegement is unreliable and risks damaging the card in the process. The cases do not even properly protect the cards, I have a PSA 10 that has become damaged inside of its case over the years

PSA is running the biggest psyops of all time. Given the new Pokemon boom, was gonna submit some childhood Pokémon cards I found to get graded this week. You're telling me its $33 per card and I have to wait 75 days??? But that's not all, if the card is worth more I have to pay more???????? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GRADE A SINGLE CARD. I CAN'T IMAGINE THE HARD PLASTIC THEY'RE PUT IN IS THAT EXPENSIVE.

People weren't around for OP05 when they rewaved that set 4-5 times over a two year period. If you're upset that they're doing more then one printing of their most popular anniversary set then you should probably not be buying One Piece product. Reprint it to the ground imo.
