@thepropgallery Nice, this is one of the hardest to grade Mewtwos ever distributed. Would be smart to stack them
English

@bagholderski Exquisite taste and with that swirl you'll have a 20% value boost
English

@natsturner @PSAcard @natsturner is that possible to do with pokemon TCG? The rookie cards would be the No Rarity set
English

A small but helpful thing, in My Collection now in the @PSAcard app, rookie cards now have an RC tag attached to them, so you know which cards in your collection are officially considered rookie cards. If you notice one that should have an RC tag that doesn't (the team is back compiling many of them now still), please let me know. We'll also build out XRC, SP, etc. in time.
English

@thepropgallery Besides being the first set in Pokemon, no rarity is also the first set to have swirls
English

@monstercardcult @rarefinds 1997 Corocoro PSA 9s and 10s are one of the best long term plays. Super low pops and very OG
English

We are still so early on certain aspects of this hobby. Just discovered an opportunity that hits all the checkmarks:
1) Popular Pokémon
2) Genesis thesis (à la @rarefinds )
3) Low pop (not slop) - around 50 PSA 10’s
4) Exclusive (promo)
This is the natural next sector of Pokémon that isn’t being looked at by the general market. That will change as the market matures and (new) collectors age into more expendable income.
When everyone is going left, we swing right. Will Share more as I lock in my position.

@FB_WSB The no rarity zard is worth 2M, English 1st edition zard is more like 550 or 600k tops
English

@thepropgallery No Rarity, it's the original and in Pokemon's native language of Japanese.
English

@PokeCardStop Benimaru Itoh is infamous for this artwork as well. Only 7 copies in a PSA 10 for the original Corocoro version.

English

All of these artworks come from the 1996 Pokémon Encyclopedia, released only in Japan.
The artworks featured in the initial post are all from Benimaru Itoh (outside of the obvious Sugimori work). However, there’s lots of other concept art from the generation 1 games as well (picture 3)

PCStop@PokeCardStop
Some impressive vintage Pokémon artwork from 1996! Finding and learning about these gems is what feels most rare in this current climate ✨
English

@norarity1996 It has a swirl on the tail, could that be the reason it sold for a PSA 8 price?

かいりきチャリザードPSA7が

これは本物なのか
誤入札の類なのか…

Fig Bonner@FigBonner
No rarity experts. This surely is fake right? Like no way a PSA 7 sold for 43k
日本語

@EdC @FigBonner yeah interesting. it's not a particularly clean 7 either
English

@FigBonner Bidding war, two people wanted it really bad and things got heated
English

@ivypika This is also the most rare Mewtwo card ever, in any language. Only two PSA 10s and four PSA 9s. It's one of the hardest to grade cards ever distributed

・MEWTWO-GLOSSY POCKET MONSTERS FAN BOOK

ivypika@ivypika

@HelloKittyTimo There actually two of these PSA 10s in the world, there's one that is mislabeled as a no rarity Pikachu. I saw a major collector on IG post it
English

@thepropgallery Now you're on the right path. @kdean you can't fade no rarity
English

@kdean Big mistake brother, these are the first cards of the Pokemon world. The largest sale for 16M was the illustrator which is 1998 Japanese. Cards in Pokemon's native language. Just sit with it. You'll realize soon enough.
English

@kdean You might be able to submit an offer closer to 100k even for either of those. Last sold on may 18 for $98k
