@Hot_Pepper76 Bad choice, You cannot see either of them. Go see Eric Johnson, he's the best living guitarist, and IMO better than St. Jimi, or SRV.

@Hot_Pepper76 That's funny, I run an HOA, I approve of everything I see, unless the tenant trashes the home. Every live show features a drum solo, they're all very good. I recall the drummer for Missing Persons Terry Bozzio, was really good. I saw Rush in the 70's maybe Pert was better, IDR

Heaven forbid I talk about two drummers I only learned about last year. The internet HOA pulled up with clipboards, citations, and a noise complaint. Some people really do scour X looking for imaginary HOA violations. Relax, people. It is my timeline, not a congressional hearing.

One of those rare covers that feels almost nothing like the original. The Bangles took Simon & Garfunkel’s "Hazy Shade of Winter" and gave it a harder 80s edge. Is this on your 80s playlist?

Alpha News asked museum officials whether presenting only the names and emotional framing of police encounter deaths — without factual context about the incidents themselves — risks turning a Science Museum exhibit into political advocacy rather than objective educational content. The museum did not respond to requests for comment.
Alpha News@AlphaNews

Science Museum exhibit includes memorial to black Americans killed during police encounters The exhibit provides no additional information about the incidents referenced in the memorial, including whether those listed were armed, resisting arrest, threatening officers or civilians, or whether investigations later determined police actions were justified or unjustified. The presentation says: “This experience lasts 8:46, the length of time officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck. Say their names.”

What are your thoughts on this? 🤔 Are you comfortable with it, or does it feel like a step too far? Home Depot and Lowe’s have begun installing AI-powered Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) in select parking lots across the U.S. as part of a broader effort to combat shoplifting and organized retail theft. These systems automatically capture license plates, timestamps, and vehicle movement data as cars enter and exit the lots. According to reports, the technology helps law enforcement identify repeat offenders and track vehicles linked to retail crime. While many support the move as a practical safety measure, it has also raised legitimate privacy concerns. Critics are asking important questions: How long is the data stored? Who has access to it? And where does the line between security and surveillance fall? Both retailers emphasize that the cameras are strictly for loss prevention and public safety. @RetroCoast Nope, my girl turned into a coke addict, the factory closed, and the New Yorkers bought up the neighborhood, the town and the county. Nobody I knew then, lives there now, the NYJ's inflated home prices and made it legally impossible to build new homes.

Hyundai owners are running into a service nightmare. Owners across the United States I increasingly reporting long repair delays, crowded dealership, service departments, and backordered parts. Hyundai service departments like many other car brands are feeling overwhelmed. A big part of the problem is a technician shortage, which is affecting the entire industry. Modern vehicles, increasingly require advanced diagnostic skills, software expertise, and specialized training that many service departments are struggling to find people to fill that gap. People who have those skills have found that they can make more money and have better benefits in other trades other than automotive repair. The automotive industry has lagged behind for many years regarding pay and benefits, and this deficit is now catching up to them with the result of a serious technician shortage. If you have a newer car, expect delays in getting it serviced at your dealership. And independents are also having a very difficult time finding technicians, so delays are common there also.

I post a lot of nostalgia on my page. I started doing this because frankly I am disgusted with the times we are living in! I got tired of reading the same influencer$ repeat the same crap for click$. So, I think I will do the crazy thing and live in the past. The past was kinder, less stressful, simpler and just better all around. So, although I SOLELY joined X to spread awareness about ny nephew and Jan 6 (and I will continue doing so) I am going to post things from yesteryear, because frankly I wish I was anywhere but where we are now.

🚨 SOCIALIST SEATTLE MAYOR CRIES AS ICONIC LANDMARK COLUMBIA TOWER CLUB SHUTS DOWN FOREVER! This is exposing how radical policies are hollowing out the city. What happens when the tax base walks away? After 41 years at the top of Seattle’s tallest building, the legendary Columbia Tower Club — where billion-dollar deals were sealed with 360° views — is now dark and empty. Furniture gone. Lights off. Doors locked for good on April 24, 2026. The reason? Downtown Seattle’s office vacancy rate has skyrocketed to over 38% — the highest in the entire United States. Companies are fleeing in droves. Amazon moved thousands of jobs. Starbucks is shifting major operations to Nashville. Even Howard Schultz just bought a $44 million penthouse in Miami. And what does Seattle’s socialist Mayor Katie Wilson say about the millionaire exodus? “If they leave… like bye.” She literally waved and laughed. Now one of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic private business clubs has walked away, citing “too much uncertainty” — right across the street from City Hall. This isn’t just a restaurant closing. It’s a devastating symbol of a city hollowing out from the inside exposing how Seattle’s extreme policies are killing its own economy and driving businesses away. Is this the beginning of the end for Seattle?

The DC MD VA Live@TheDMVLive

A 68-year-old male is facing 66 separate charges after a violent series of shootings and carjackings across northern Prince George’s County on Friday afternoon, leaving at least two people injured — one critically 🚨 The Prince George’s County Police Department identified the suspect as Larry James Simpson, of Glen Burnie, MD, who investigators say was linked to five separate crime scenes spanning College Park, Riverdale and Greenbelt. Additional charges could still be filed as the investigation continues. The crime spree began around 2:30 pm on the 5100 block of Pierce Avenue in College Park, where officers responded to reports of a man pointing a long gun from a vehicle window and firing several shots. No injuries were reported at that location. A short time later, investigators said Simpson fired at a vehicle traveling on Riverdale Road near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Riverdale. A bullet shattered the window of a car driven by a 64-year-old man, causing cuts to the victim’s head from broken glass. The man was taken to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening. Minutes later, police said Simpson flipped the car he was driving on 67th Avenue at Patterson Street in Riverdale. After climbing from the wreckage, investigators say Simpson carjacked a Nissan and opened fire on multiple people nearby. One man was struck and critically wounded during the shooting, though police said he is expected to survive. At least four victims were fired upon during the incident. Police said Simpson then drove to Kenilworth Avenue and Good Luck Road, where he allegedly shot at a woman before stealing her Toyota. The victim was not injured. The series of incidents ended in the 9000 block of Edmonston Road in Greenbelt, where police say Simpson attempted to carjack another vehicle and fired in the direction of an off-duty Prince George’s County police officer who had been following him in a personal vehicle. According to investigators, the off-duty officer was unarmed but witnessed one of the carjackings and began tracking the suspect while calling his wife, who is also a Prince George’s County police officer. She relayed the suspect’s location in real time to responding officers and partner law enforcement agencies. With assistance from three U.S. Park Police officers, authorities arrested Simpson at the scene. Police recovered an AR-15-style rifle following the arrest. Simpson was taken to a hospital for injuries believed to have been sustained in the Riverdale crash before being transferred to the custody of the Department of Corrections. He is currently charged with sixty six offenses, including 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder and 16 counts of attempted second-degree murder, along with related charges.

@GeriPerna This was the darkest day for America, but not for the manufactured reasons, it was the day people at the highest levels of our Government decided they control our elections, by all means available. RIP all the victims of that tyranny.

Nobody was supposed to be scared of a Gremlin. That was the whole point. AMC introduced the subcompact in 1970 as a cheap, fuel-efficient economy car to fight off the Volkswagen Beetle, the Ford Pinto, and the Chevrolet Vega. Then a dealership in Mesa, Arizona decided to drop a 6.6 liter V8 into one and ruin everything for everybody at the traffic light. Grant Randall and his sons had been AMC's equivalent of Royal Pontiac or Yenko Chevrolet since 1967, hopping up Hornets and Ramblers and publishing a full performance tuning guide they called the Speed Bible. When AMC finally made the 304 cubic inch V8 available in the Gremlin in 1972, the Randalls immediately noticed something important. The 304 and the 401 shared identical external dimensions, meaning the swap was completely straightforward. They pitched the idea to AMC corporate. AMC had no interest in building one themselves, but had no problem shipping engines to Arizona. AMC sent exactly 20 401 engines to the Randall Brothers for conversion, making authentic 401-XR Gremlins extraordinarily rare. With 255 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque stuffed into a car weighing around 2,600 pounds, the 401-XR ran the quarter mile in the high 13-second range completely stock, straight off the showroom floor, for just $2,995. Car Craft tested a well-optioned example with optional cam, exhaust and ignition upgrades and posted a quarter mile run of 12.3 seconds, faster than most factory muscle cars of the era that cost twice as much. Car and Driver simply called it the Street Sweeper and left it at that.
