I spoke to Anthropic’s AI agent Claude about AI collecting massive amounts of personal data and how that information is being used to violate our privacy rights. What an AI agent says about the dangers of AI is shocking and should wake us up.

Trump's Save Act forces 45 states to refuse driver's licenses, Real ID, student ID and military ID as valid voter ID. Already-registered voters will be turned away from the polls if they don't obtain and bring a $165.00 U.S. passport or a $25.00 to $35.00 birth certificate copy. It also forces all states to turn over your private voter information and voting records to Trump for selective purging. It's not "Just ID."

The ID I can use to fly wouldn’t be enough to vote. The SAVE Act is not a voter ID law, it’s voter suppression.

Gee I guess I missed the big drop in smartphone prices… it seems like the iPhone has kept going up😫 ($1000?) And with Amazing Abundance robots will grow food and everyone will be able to go to the grocery store and get a bagfull of groceries for $1 instead of $80 🎉🤣 And modern tractors will not cost $100K they will given to anyone that wants one🤣

Similar to how brick phones only went to billionaires just 4 decades ago yet smartphones are now common for the lowest of income classes. Similar to how modern farming technology drove US deaths from involuntary starvation to less than deaths from lightning. When everything is inexpensive, people can more easily gain access to it.

Humanity's greatest need right now, beyond new tech, is HOPE. A compelling, abundant vision of the future that people WANT to live in.

The Pentagon's supply chain risk statute exists to block foreign adversaries from sabotaging American military systems. It has never been used against an American company in modern times. Anthropic drew two redlines: Claude would not be used for fully autonomous weapons without human oversight, and it would not be used for mass surveillance of American citizens. The Pentagon wanted "all lawful purposes." Negotiations collapsed. Defense Secretary Hegseth labeled Anthropic a supply chain risk effective immediately. Trump directed all federal agencies to stop using Claude. OpenAI announced a Pentagon deal hours later. Amodei told his staff the administration dislikes Anthropic because the company has not donated to Trump or offered what he called "dictator-style praise." Today nearly 150 former federal judges from both parties filed an amicus brief telling the court the Pentagon "misinterpreted the statute and violated the necessary procedures." The brief's core point: the government can choose not to contract with Anthropic. What it cannot do is stigmatize a domestic company as a foreign adversary-style security risk over a policy disagreement about ethics guardrails. The hearing is March 24. The precedent at stake is whether any American tech firm that draws an ethical line can be blacklisted for drawing it.
