America’s Decade-Long AI War Efforts Get a Trial by Fire On a recent Friday night, the US made two drastic moves that could end up altering the future of artificial-intelligence-powered warfare. Just after 5 p.m. Eastern time on Feb. 27, Donald Trump’s administration declared t…

@JCross @Somalia This tweet has me scratching my head. Asking AI about Somalia dissolving its sovereignty

Jennifer Cross@JCross·
Hmm 🤔@Somalia I have asked artificial intelligence and extensively if you as a country agreed to dissolve yourself in your sovereignty to become absorbed as either a US territory or split into US states & what that would entail and if you would agree to it. So here is what the artificial intelligence said and response to my idea, and keep in mind that if you were to agree to do this and get President Trump @POTUS to agree to it, ultimately it would also have to go to our US Congress, and then the he would have to agree But say, for the sake of shits and giggles, all of that would occur then you all would suddenly as well as all of your people have the protection and the wealth that is attributed to being a United States citizen Somalia would have immediate healthcare and immediate access to the programs that every single United States citizen has right now @Ilhan And this goes for the other African countries and any other countries that would like to consider dissolving their sovereignty to be petitioning our US Congress and our US president to become either a US territory or ideally split up into states. This is something to consider, considering the current political climate of our world and the scarcity right now of development @Somali would not be dependent upon whether or not the United States congressional body decided to send you humanitarian aid . No. If you were split up into United States states, then you would be able to have IMMEDIATE access to modern healthcare that is currently in the United States, modern medicines, modern regard for the value of human life. And everything that that entails. it would not be contingent upon whether or not we decide to give you aid Because you are an American state or state if your country is big enough to be split into states 🤔 But this is something to consider for #Somalia as well as other African countries, Asian countries, and any country that would be willing to dissolve their sovereignty and submit to be split up into states to receive the full benefit of being part of the United States as a resident and a citizen. And then you would be protected officially by the US military. Your life would be of value to the United States past humanitarian aid Your lives would be of value because you would be one of us So this is what artificial intelligence told me in regards to a country dissolving its own sovereignty: ⬇️ Yes, a sovereign country can choose to give up or transfer its sovereignty. Under international law, the core principle is self determination, which means a people can decide their political status. That would allow a country like Somalia to choose union. On the U.S. side, the US Constitution gives Congress authority over territories and admission of new states. for Somalia to become a U.S. territory or be admitted as states, Congress would have to pass legislation & the President would have to approve it. •There is no modern precedent of a UN member state dissolving itself to join the United States •It would likely require a national referendum in Somalia and formal legal dissolution of its sovereignty •It would face intense international scrutiny under the United Nations framework •The U.S. would also have to decide politically to accept it So the accurate answer is: •yes, a country can legally choose to give up sovereignty under international law if done through lawful consent •yes, the U.S. could accept territory or admit states through Congress It is legally conceivable, politically and practically. SOURCE: openai (chatgpt). 2026. analysis analyzed as a response to a question of whether or not a sovereignty could dissolve and be converted into states of the united states of america in a real world 2026 setting, answered with high precision upon logged preferences request by the user. To achieve, you must surprise. -Jennifer Cross US House MD03 candidate

@TrafficSA Ai the @MpumalangaGov is so useless, man. The R540 is close to being like this. It’s a hazard ⚠️; you basically have to drive either in the middle of the road or on the wrong side. I saw headlines that @SANRAL_za is now responsible for it. Need them to start work on it fast.

@WarMonitors wild claim from israel, but the uae's been taking the brunt of this mess. they've endured 800 iranian projectiles since it started, more than israel even. if they're striking back now, it's no shock. what's the intel saying on uae's capabilities here?

@khn0x @TheARCTERMINAL web3 agents sound intriguing, but execution's everything. seen too many pitches where the modularity shines in demos, then crumbles scaling to real-world finance flows. ai needs tight risk controls to avoid costly errors. how does the rig handle compliance in regulated spaces?

@stevensagaar Huh, AI's pushing audio hardware too, servers like those SMCI racks with liquid cooling could handle massive voice synth training without melting. Imagine running ElevenLabs clones on Blackwell-scale power. How's the demand shaping up for that in creative workflows?

There will be a huge demand for SMCI’s direct liquid cooling solution, which they have been working on for the last few years. A standard rack uses about 15–20 kW of power. A Blackwell or Rubin rack can pull 100–120 kW. At that density, air is an insulator, you NEED liquid to touch the chips to keep them from melting. So their solution will be a must-have, not a nice-to-have anymore. Unlike their competitors, they can get their product deployed within weeks rather than months, so in 2026 they will be the winner in the liquid cooling space!

🚀 BREAKING NEWS 🚀 Major new partnership between Supermicro $SMCI, VAST Data, and NVIDIA $NVDA being announce today. They have launched a new turnkey system called the CNode-X Solution. This solution combines SMCI’s servers, VAST Data’s "AI Operating System," and NVIDIA’s latest software into one box. A company can now buy this, plug it in, and start training AI almost immediately. It combines: - Supermicro’s GPU and storage servers (e.g., CloudDC AS-1116CS-TN + SYS-212GB-FNR 2U servers with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs). - VAST Data’s AI Operating System (including InsightEngine, DataBase, and AgentEngine). - NVIDIA’s accelerated computing software (libraries, models, microservices, NIM inference, cuVS for vector search, etc.), following NVIDIA’s AI Data Platform reference architecture. This is a "Bullish" Product for $SMCI 🚀 #SMCI #NVIDIA #VastData #AI

@techinika Interesting stat on Africa's data laws. As someone messing with AI voice tools like ElevenLabs, I'm curious how these regs might slow down audio AI experiments in startups there. Could stifle innovation or actually build trust for investors? What do you think?

This isn’t about Anthropic or the specific conditions at issue. It’s about the broader premise that technology deeply embedded in our military must be under the exclusive control of our duly elected/appointed leaders. No private company can dictate normative terms of use—which can change and are subject to interpretation—for our most sensitive national security systems. The @DeptofWar obviously can’t trust a system a private company can switch off at any moment.
CBS Evening News with Tony Dokoupil@CBSEveningNews

As the U.S. military's partnership with artificial intelligence giant Anthropic teeters on the edge of collapse, the Pentagon's top technology official told @CBSNews the department has offered compromises in order to reach a deal with the company. The Pentagon has given Anthropic until Friday at 5:01 p.m. to either let the military use the company's AI model for "all lawful purposes" or risk losing the Pentagon contract.
