@TheHayride @JTAlexander Two reasons Byron Donalds has the Trump endorsement. 1) He’s Susie Wiles puppet. 2) Trump rewarding a congressman who endorsed him in 2024 over DeSantis and pushing other congressmen to do so which hurt RDS. He didn’t earn it on the merit of his policy chops and retail skills.

Look, I know better than most that Black America is not nearly as monolithic as people commonly believe, but the belief is real and it matters. You can put an R next to their name, but when he appears on TV, Republican voters are going to view him as an unknown, at best, or Democrat-sympathetic RINO at worst. It’s not fair but it is real. It is a very hard sell after the 2010s and first half of the 2020s to tell Republican voters, “Yeah this Black guy you know nothing about? The one your Party, with a long track record of betrayal and bad candidate selection, is vouching for? Yeah, you should vote for him.” These guys should be running in Majority Black areas, where they can actually work to change the perception and reality of a monolithically Democratic Black America. If they did this, then perhaps the perception wouldn’t exist and trust would be more freely given. Instead the GOP plays their own form of the DEI game, under the incorrect belief that a rehabilitation of Black America can be achieved by merely promoting Black Republicans into the national spotlight. It didn’t work for Condoleezza Rice, it didn’t work for Colin Powell, it didn’t work for Clarence Thomas. It’s not going to work with people less impressive. Sears got blown out by a cartoon supervillain. Donalds is on track to lose a state DeSantis won by TWO MILLION VOTES. Learn the lesson and move on, man.

@lecternleader I understand your plight and I know your pain is real. But this is why you never ever put your freedom, livelihood and reputation at stake for a temporary politician who doesn’t give a single shit that you exist. Especially someone as narcissistic and vain as Trump.

On a serious note, I am writing up my complaint against the DOJ and submitting it this week. Maybe I'll fly to DC and deliver it personally. My situation is different than most. The infamy gained from this photo will be in history books. What they did to me will have a generational effect on my family and their livelihoods. I was mocked and called a thief by Jimmy Kimmel, John Krasinski, and Jim Carey. My face and the accusation of being a thief was shared globally... for years. It still persists today harming my chances to win my local election or lead a normal life. Public school teachers told my children and their friends that their dad was a terrorist. My wife's reputation was dragged through the mud. Death threats caused her work to have to hire private security. USF denied my reentry into college. I had to fight to get my guns rights back. My children and myself were subjected to additional screenings by the TSA. My federal probation officer tried to stop me from speaking out on @Timcast warning that more death threats might come if I choose to talk. My attorney fees were 100k, I was fined 5k and I lost five years of my life to date fighting the lies they told about me. We spent an additional 150k in publicity trying to clear my name and restore my reputation. The DOJ could've chosen to release the evidence clearing my name but withheld it. They maliciously charged me with felony theft. We lost things that can never be restored but if they choose to do the right thing and restore the J6ers, we can finally finish setting things right.
