Ohio Stadium's new turf is "designed to meet NFL standards." The previous turf was a slit film design which the NFLPA was not a fan of.

Ohio State has announced they will be installing new turf in Ohio Stadium that will be ready for this season. They will be using Shaw Sports Turf's Forge Series system.

@RZBuckeye1 17% is a fake number tho. 22-23 of the 24 teams are going to be Power 4 teams, so it's more like 1/3 of P4 teams make it. But my question still remains. Who would overtake CFB?

There are close to 140 D1 football teams. A 24 team playoff means about 17% of the teams get in. Compare that to the 21% of college basketball teams that get into the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Or the 43% of pro football teams and 53% of the pro basketball teams that get into their respective playoffs. 17% doesn't appear to be outrageous.

Even with a 24-team playoff, won't college football still have the greatest regular season in sports? What American sport would move ahead of it?

@TonyGerdeman I genuinely don’t understand how you get this Tony. For the limited number of actual title competitors, the season is now meaningless. Is Ohio state losing 4 games? I’ll watch significantly less of the sport and I’m a weird fanatic who records the gambling game.
