Today is the 105th anniversary of the Polish Army launching its counteroffensive against the Soviet Red Army on the outskirts of Warsaw. In the Battle of Warsaw, 20 000 Red Army soldiers were killed, 30 000 wounded & 100 000 captured. Defeating the Russians in war is possible. The Poles, the Germans, the British, the Turks, the Swedes, the Balts, the Afghans and the Chechens have all done it.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick just exposed a method foreign countries have used for decades to cheat the United States in trade. "Some countries have a value-added tax and they take that VAT tax of 20% and they use it to subsidize the production of their domestic industries. That's why we can't sell cars there because they give a rebate." And these countries have the gall to act shocked that the United States is finally acting.

@randymot4 Helo was apparently on VFR and supposed to follow specific altitude in that area. Some reports say above directed altitude. We shall see.

AIR CRASH OVER THE POTOMAC Who thinks "do you see the plane in front of you" is proper protocol for an air traffic controller? I really do not know the answer, but I imagine with training, it should be something like: "change course to bearing XXX and altitude to XXXX immmediately." I also think there might be a collision alert message that precedes that direction. But "do you see the plane" that you are about hit in the seconds seems a bit like something someone with no training would say. New FAA head needs to perform a top to bottom review of air traffic controllers and clean house. NOTE: seeking diversity by dropping qualifications for a job lets anyone on board regardless of both race and capacity to do the job. Widely found in studies of police academy policy changes.

@MattWalshBlog Keep in mind the US won its independence with a significant amount of arms provided by France and Spain…..foreign aid at the most critical time in our nation’s history.

Countries that cannot function without US foreign aid should simply not exist. You have no right to exist as a nation if your existence depends on forced donations from the citizens of another country. Take away all foreign aid permanently and let the chips fall where they may.
