@rjeff74 Never been called “Primitive”. 😂
The confession is my doctrinal position fully supported by Scripture. I would hope above all else the church would desire their pastors to be men a great integrity and passionate about God’s truth as a primary qualification.
Off to worship, ✌🏻

@TonyShort34 On the surface I see 1689 or Primitive Baaptist and I think old style, stuck in their ways. We are a contemporary church with contemporary worship. Maybe I am reading it wrong, but that is the vibe those titles put off.

Question to my SBC brethren. I have submitted several resumes for lead pastor positions to SBC churches with not one reply of interest. As a 1689 Reformed Baptist what does it take to get a look with over 20 years of ministry experience?

@rjeff74 Curious, what would have been out of alignment with your church’s doctrinal statement?
You wouldn’t look at education and ministry experience?
Just trying to understand how some churches are looking at resumes.

@JimmyParker87 @TonyShort34 @TomBuck @tomascol @AdamPage85 Speaking as someone that just went through the hiring process, being that specific of a Baptist is probably why you are having a hard time. We would have just passed your resume by, to be honest.

@TonyShort34 @TomBuck @tomascol @AdamPage85 Churches move exceptionally slow. I got a response from one almost a full year after putting in a resume. A full year!
English

@TonyShort34 @TomBuck @tomascol @AdamPage85 It can be discouraging. And a tad surprising since I was under the impression fewer men were becoming pastors.
English

@CliffVines @TomBuck @tomascol @AdamPage85 I’m sure that is it. However, I also state that I can support the BFM2000. I was disappointed that a couple 1689 churches in FL wouldn’t give me a look. It’s definitely a harder process I would have thought.
English

@TonyShort34 @TomBuck @tomascol @AdamPage85 Do you state your theological position in your resume? Most SBC churches shy away from Reformed theology. Kinda sad
English

@CliffVines The problem is I am the only one who will eat it. My wife is not a big meat eater and my son is hyper healthy eater. My other son lives in Virginia 9 months out of the year. I’m just gonna come live with you 😜😜😜

@ekkiet @JonnyRoot_ @katejoynr I don’t know the rules but hope teams don’t lose challenges when the calls are that bad. They should actually get an extra challenge.
English

@JonnyRoot_ @katejoynr Women have inferior depth perception to men. Why anyone thinks this is a good idea is beyond me.

@bmatlock1990 @MLB2MLR Just grabbed some ground round, flank steak, bone-in chops, chicken breasts, bison burgers, and my favorite treat…spicy beef sticks with cheese inside!
English

@ekkiet @megbasham My jaw just hit the ground and my blood pressure just spiked. 😡
English

@megbasham And this won’t be denounced by them… but if any “conservative” said this…

But he’s such a decent and refreshing “Christian” voice, Christianity Today and David French tell us!

James Talarico, the Texas Democrat candidate for US Senate, is on stage talking about "God's sausage" and DOUBLING DOWN on his claim that God is "Non-Binary." Disgusting.

@gmk_julie Looking forward to being a Papa in the future. Gonna be a blast.

I had my Kids Praise cassette tapes memorized. Our sons grew up with the CD’s. But it’s my husband’s old vinyl that we’ll be introducing the grandbaby to Psalty the Singing Songbook through. (Sound up)

Psalty was a big part of my childhood and I have nothing but positive memories of Psalty and the Kids Praise musicals. Especially the one with Charity Churchmouse.
