Today marks one year since the Big Cat Public Safety Act was signed into law! The law, which prohibits the private possession of big cats and makes it illegal for exhibitors to allow direct contact with cubs, is a historic step towards ending the rampant abuse of big cats.🙌🐯

Victory! After passing easily in the House in July, the Big Cat Public Safety Act unanimously passed in the Senate and has just now been signed into law by President Biden. We applaud everyone involved in the passing of this very important animal welfare law to protect big cats.

#2: The US BIG CAT PUBLIC SAFETY ACT PASSED to end cub petting and private ownership of #tigers, #lions and other big cats. The bill scorched through the House of Representatives, then passed the Senate, and was finally signed into law by @POTUS in December.

Victory! Today President Biden signed the Big Cat Public Safety Act into law, prohibiting the private ownership of captive big cats and ending their use in cruel cub petting operations. Thank you to everyone who took action - each and every one of you made a huge difference!
