Diana Gichengo on KTN says Kenya is now losing Sh3 BILLION every single day to corruption and wastage. Under Uhuru, the figure was estimated at Sh2 billion a day. Do the math. Sh3 billion × 365 days = Sh1.095 TRILLION a year. Now look at Kenya’s budget deficit, its approximately about that number. That’s the same money government goes out to borrow. Meaning? Kenyans are being taxed, squeezed and buried in debt, so a few people can loot comfortably. We really jumped from the frying pan in the 2022 elections.

@briansureobino Your entire argument is a collapsing tower of false equivalence. Comparing Ruto to Mobutu isn't analysis, it's intellectual graffiti. You named kakistocracy to sound literate, but can't distinguish between policy disagreements and dictatorship. Calling CSs idiots isn't critique.

I’ve just completed reading the finance bill 2026 and all I can say to Ruto is: DROP IT OR EXPECT US IN STATEHOUSE. We’ve repeatedly said that we won’t allow any punishment imposed on us by you. We can’t stand it. Just drop it

@Maryian96 He left office with petrol at record highs, debt through the roof, and a economy limping. Now he plays the concerned elder? The only failure here is a former president who couldn’t fix the very problems he now mocks, but expects applause for pointing them out. Bring solutions!

@briansureobino I draw nothing from Mobutu the tyrant, I draw from the provocation of his name, a mirror held to those who confuse satire with endorsement. You see a dictator, I see a rhetorical tool. My motivation isn't admiration. Now stop fixating on the costume and engage with my argument.

@sholard_mancity The government’s job isn’t to shield you from every ripple effect, it’s to raise revenue for roads, security, and schools. By your logic, no tax should exist because someone, somewhere, might shift it. If you want zero pass-through, move to a country with no taxes.

Do not believe everything Mbadi says. Do not believe everything Ruto says. Why? Because they rarely tell you the full truth. Example: The government introduces taxes on card transactions, M-Pesa charges or bank transfers. What will they say? “We are not increasing M-Pesa charges.” “We are only clarifying the law.” “We are taxing Safaricom, not wananchi.” Many Kenyans will believe that. But here is the reality: Safaricom, banks and payment companies are not charities. If government increases taxes on them, they simply pass the cost to you. Higher transaction fees. Higher withdrawal charges. Higher cost of living. In the end, the Kenyan citizen always pays. That is the truth they never say loudly enough.

@briansureobino A username isn’t an endorsement. Attacking me for a historical dictator’s crimes because I chose a provocative name is like blaming an actor for playing Hitler. You’re not fighting tyranny bro. If you can’t separate a screen name from real-world, your compass is broken.

@MwangiHub Fuel prices are a global problem, not a presidential mood ring. The same cries you claim are ignored now were louder under your own watch, with prices then often higher when adjusted for subsidies you removed. Complaining about a president not listening while offering no solution

@_James041 The real fraud isn't debt, it's pretending you can repudiate obligations without crashing the economy. You want justice? Follow legal process, not populist slogans. Otherwise, you're not fighting looting, you're inviting famine.

@_James041 Kenya's credit rating would crater, imports stall, and your "more money circulating" becomes a worthless shillings overnight. No serious country audits debt by political convenience, we have the Auditor General and Parliament.

47% of the Ksh4.82T budget will go to servicing Odious debts. That means that if we stop servicing illegal debts, we will have more money circulating in the economy. That begs the question, " Why is the killer regime not auditing public debts?" They are not doing that because they know the truth. They borrowed illegally, looted and are now overtaxing Kenyans to service their lavish lifestyles.

@KarungoThangwa You're manufacturing a siege to justify your own political survival. Consulting among yourselves isn't unity; it's a echo chamber. And the only tribal mongers here are those who reduce every national issue to a regional grievance. Your UK tour changed nothing. Neither will this.

Gitungati 001 is back. This morning, I held a briefing meeting with H.E. the People’s Deputy President, Riggy G, following his return last night from a highly successful UK tour. A family that consults together stays together. At a time when our community and the country are under sustained attack from the President himself, his SG, his party, and some of his allies, unity and consultation among Kenyans becomes more important than ever. Kenyans of goodwill must stand together against the few tribal mongers who are pushing this country toward chaos and bloodshed for political convenience. #TwendeOlKalou

@otienowill by that debt. The fact that you can't trace a bond to a specific project doesn't mean the money vanished, it means you don't understand fungibility. If Kenya stopped domestic borrowing tomorrow, the economy collapses.

@otienowill Economically illiterate. Domestic debt isn't a fraud, it's government borrowing from its own citizens via treasury bills and bonds, financing budget deficits that cover salaries, infrastructure, and services. Every shilling spent on roads, teachers, or security is partly enabled

The biggest fraud that is being perpetuated in Kenya is domestic debt. There is nowhere domestic debt funding is anchored in any development project yet 50% of our debt is from domestic borrowing.

@Western_Wolf8 A president traveling and speaking directly to citizens isn't desperation, it's democracy. Your inability to distinguish leadership from propaganda says more about your cynicism than his competence. If your best analysis is playground insults, don't be surprised when 2027 comes

@Maryian96 Police presence isn't betrayal, it's order. You weep for 4M votes as if numbers entitle you to chaos. Nyeri isn't your private fiefdom, public safety isn't oppression. If a visible state apparatus shocks you, you never understood citizenship, you just wanted impunity.
