Sh3 billion × 365 days = Sh1.095 TRILLION a year. Now look at Kenya’s budget deficit, its approximately about that number. That’s the same money government goes out to borrow. Meaning? Kenyans are being taxed, squeezed and buried in debt, so a few people can loot comfortably. We really jumped from the frying pan in the 2022 elections.

Example: The government introduces taxes on card transactions, M-Pesa charges or bank transfers. What will they say? “We are not increasing M-Pesa charges.” “We are only clarifying the law.” “We are taxing Safaricom, not wananchi.” Many Kenyans will believe that. But here is the reality: Safaricom, banks and payment companies are not charities. If government increases taxes on them, they simply pass the cost to you. Higher transaction fees. Higher withdrawal charges. Higher cost of living. In the end, the Kenyan citizen always pays. That is the truth they never say loudly enough.

The biggest fraud that is being perpetuated in Kenya is domestic debt. There is nowhere domestic debt funding is anchored in any development project yet 50% of our debt is from domestic borrowing.
