Simple scaffolding idea for a student with SEND who often struggles to ‘get going’. Comprehension task with worksheet. Sticky arrow tabs indicate where in the textbook he can find the answers after we had read through it as a class. Was appreciative & got stuck in straight away.

@dieworkwear Hi Derek - any tips for your UK followers of where to find trousers with turn ups? They’re diffilt to find on the high street where skinny/slim fit cropped trousers are the dominant trend.

All I'm saying is that you should open yourself up to the idea of accessorizing or wearing something cool. Neckwear can be an easy way to do this, especially in the fall/ winter months.

Men look better with some kind of neckwear. Let's run through some examples. 🧵

I’ve got @EnserMark & @MaryMyatt books in my list of options but wondered if anyone had any recommendations that were more Drama specific? 📚

I work with an amazing drama teacher who has asked for recommendations for some Christmas T&L reading. After suggesting she was a little bit mad for considering that instead of getting some much needed rest, I promised I would think about what would be best to recommend. 1/2

As ever, inspired by the great work of @worcesterjonny, my fantastic Y11s used the @WilkesHistory textbooks to support their analysis of societal changes in Weimar Germany. Moselle the first one together before moving onto independent practice. @AbbeyfieldSch

Live modelled a different one first, did some on the yellow sheet together and then let them loose on the rest. I’ll use this as a piece of work to give feedback on this Half Term. WCF took about 25 mins as most comments picked up during lesson as I circulated.

Early days but trying to crack basics of source utility with Y7 asap. Tried to use some colour coding to demonstrate exactly how/where to follow the step by step guide. Printed on yellow card as a ‘gold standard’ which they stick & use as reference going fwd. @AbbeyfieldSch

At some point I’ll get some pics of this up, but the trip was an amazing success. Big credit to @ToomerTeach for getting it going. The visit to the students great, great grandad was really touching. All the students scrambled to help find it. 10/10 trip.

2/ During the summer term @ToomerTeach was successful with an external promotion. @TobyCharter21 stepped in as the lead. He was given the request about the visit to the burial group. “I don’t want to promise anything, but we will try.” We always try.

7/ The visit to Ypres? It happened. The to Railway Dugout burial ground where the Great, Great Grandad of one of our students rested. He was the first person in the family to visit the site. And yes, I was in tears. All the love to staff, students and parents @TSPA.

1/ Thread: My Heart is Full So over a year ago @ToomerTeach planned a visit to Belgium for Sept 23. Lots of students signed up. One parents asked if the trip could include a visit to a burial ground in Ypres. “The itinerary isn’t set by us, but we will try.” We always try.

@MrsSMurray @TowersSchool @Steplab_co I’m joining a new school in Sept and the entire Trust has adopted StepLab as feedback & coaching platform. Would love to hear any tips, pitfalls and overview of how you have set things up. Similar sized school!

420 feedback meetings competed & 243 steps achieved across our teaching staff. This wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated team of @TowersSchool coaches. An amazing 1st year using @Steplab_co 🙌🏼

Introducing pink spots and pink lines. Pink spots - a duty point that staff must occupy if empty Pink lines - one foot either side and queue if at a T, otherwise a corridor divider, walk on left

My current school is switching from 60 min lessons to a mix of 50/140 double periods. Any T&L tips from those that have been through a similar change? Most staff seem concerned regarding pace & SLOP opportunities in 50 mins. @adamboxer1, Totteridge are 50/140 right?
