@TedWelford @eV_Newt Yes definitely, plus full 3.5t towing capacity I believe. Price is reasonable too, will be an interesting second hand prospect!

@TophaTron @eV_Newt I have not. Saw one on the road the other day (didn’t know what it was at first!) with a bike rack on the back and it looked superb. Specs are certainly impressive on it

Given the number of pick-ups that do small runs around farms and clog up their DPFs (Dad’s Amarok included), I think an electric one makes a lot of sense. More taken by this KGM Musso EV than I expected. Drives well and plenty of space, though admittedly feels more like an SUV

@modernheroestv From a trade point of view all the sub 9k Oras that were on autotrader have disappeared over the last few weeks so someone is buying them.

@modernheroestv I recently bought one of the larger battery higher spec models. They’re actually really good with the software update ironing out most of the annoying ADAS quirks and amazing value at that sort of price. Feels better than the Zoe 50 we had previously by pretty much every metric.

These are getting temptingly cheap now. Would need to be £9k on the forecourt though, would anyone actually buy it?

@Carsofglasgow1 Are you based in Glasgow? Arnold Clark charge 55p per kWh and have quite a few sites dotted about.

@StuartFrazer This is sadly the cheapest charging which I’ve found all week🥹 I have been paying mostly 89p per kw

Using the Tesla charger with the Ford. Just over £28 for roughly 50 odd miles of range added.

@modernheroestv It used to be free in Glasgow to park on the streets if you were charging, but I can guess that widespread abuse saw an end to that perk. You used to see the on street chargers filled with PHEVs. After the charges were introduced, they all magically disappeared.

Crowing about “not private business” aside 🙄 it really surprises me how many drivers think they are completely exempt from parking charges while charging, especially slow charging like here. You must always check whether you still need to pay for parking or not.
Homeless Project Scotland 💜🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿@hp_scotland

This photo says it all. This is one of our charity electric vans, clearly plugged in and charging, preparing to go out and support vulnerable and homeless people across Glasgow. While charging, @GlasgowCC City Council issued it with a parking ticket. Not abandoned. Not misused. Not private business. 🚐⚡ A frontline charity vehicle, charging so it can deliver food, transport supplies, and respond to emergencies penalised in the very city it serves. We step in daily to help people when systems fail. We save the city money. We protect lives. And this is how that support is repaid. 👉 Helping the homeless should never be punished. 👉 Common sense and compassion are badly missing here. Do better. #ShameOnYou #SupportNotSanctions #HomelessnessCrisis #FrontlineCharity #DoBetterGlasgow

VW reveals the new ID.Polo interior and hallelujah it looks like they’ve finally listened! No stupid slider bar under the screen - actual buttons for the AC. FOUR windows switches instead of the shite we have on the ID3/Born Actual buttons on the steering wheel. 👍👍👍

@KateFantom Have you had any dialogue with Maxus to see if the issues you’re experiencing with the drivetrain are either a problem specific to your van or something they need to fix software side for all of them?

As many of you know I’m not a massive fan of our new electric van. It does however do the ‘van’ bit rather well. Last week it covered 767 miles and averaged 2.8m/kWh. Remember, it’s big and fully loaded. Total ‘fuel’ cost was under £20 using our home charger. I seem to remember £100 of diesel would get me around 450 miles in my old Transit Custom.

@LobAllan The current gen Mini Hatch sort of has this too. Petrol powered = regular handles, EV = recessed handles. Different platforms but look the same externally!

I'm procrastinating, but... the new CLA is the first modern car I'm aware of to offer a completely different way of getting into the car depending on trim level. Fixed manual door handles for Sport (left), pop-out leccy ones for AMG-Line.

So here it is - the new Twingo! Looks are absolutely spot on. Cute, stylish, funky details, another winner. 27.5kWh battery gives 163 miles WLTP, perfectly fine for a 3.8m long city car. The only disappointment for me is price - just under £20k when it was always touted as sub-£17k. I was expecting to pay £20k for a better spec model.

@timoldland @TophaTron just saying this elsewhere, but R5/A290 range seems to be falling off a cliff now the cold weather is here. Don't remember hearing Zoe being like that so much (but haven't owned either, so no direct experience).

**Auction Watch** 1991 Citroen AX GT 5dr 32,521 miles Estimate £7,250 - £8,000 After posting the Citroen AX GTI as a rare car I have stumbled across this very clean looking GT which will be available at auction at Perth in Scotland on the 15th of November 2025. Yes it’s not the 3dr which would probably be more desirable but just incase anyone is looking. Some other cool vehicles and bikes in the auction as well. 🔗 auction.morrisleslie.com/vehicle/yd1rzt… ⚠️ Please make sure if you are interested to do all the relevant checks before bidding ⚠️ 📸 @MorrisLeslie 👏🏻👏🏻 @CitroenUK @Citroen

@AutoPap @TophaTron Indeed. I went for 8k miles. Ordered one after viewing. Build quality is good. Large 2nd row & spec was unbelievable for the money. Will see how it goes with a view to seeing what the depreciation is like at end of term. Lots of positives aside from the current 41 insurance group

Promise this isn’t a promoted tweet but I saw a new Leap Motor yesterday. Look at how much they are! That’s about the same price as a new Polo circa 2010. I’ve been offered a demo in one soon. Have to say I’m intrigued with what £319 a month buys you.
