Getting to Medicare For All will be a piecemeal process. Medicare-For-All-Who-Want-It seems like a solid incremental step to showcase to the many (understandably!) skeptical Americans that the federal government can actually effectively handle providing healthcare for every American — and not just turn it into a bureaucratic nightmare — before pushing for the Big Kahuna.

The ACA exchanges are headed for collapse. You can get all the people to cross-subsidize the highest cost patients some of the time, and some of the people to cross-subsidize the highest cost patients all of the time, but... wsj.com/health/healthc…




@TopherSpiro It also turns out that people losing coverage was a policy choice. New Mexico acted at the state level to keep the enhanced tax credits in place to prevent people from paying higher premiums and, you'll never guess, it's the only state to have seen an increase in coverage.
