@ret_ward @RishiSunak @Conservatives Indeed we should cut taxes on energy generation - produce more gas - reintroduce coal to help with security of supply and build lots of nuclear as quickly as possible - we should remove with extreme prejudice all expensive renewable energy

The so-called windfall tax, actually the Energy Profits Levy, was introduced while @RishiSunak was Prime Minister to try to offset some of the £44 billion in taxpayers’ money that the @Conservatives spent protecting energy consumers from high prices during the last gas crisis.

It is pure fantasy to pretend the U.K. can ever be self-sufficient in natural gas. The U.K. has been a net importer of natural gas since 2003.

I would suspect the overwhelming majority of the British public share a simple view: If you come to this country and commit serious crimes, especially against women and young girls you should lose the right to stay in Britain. Exclusive: Anger is rising within Border Force over the “one-in-one-out” migrant deal with France. A senior source told the Daily Express: “At this stage, we would want to be returning 200 a week.
