GOVT RULES OUT PURE PETROL, E10; E20 TO REMAIN INDIA’S STANDARD FUEL The Centre has said it will not offer consumers a choice between pure petrol, E10 and E20. According to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, maintaining three parallel petrol grades across India’s fuel distribution network would be operationally complex, costly, and would undermine the significant investments already made in ethanol production and blending infrastructure.

97% Indian mobile subscribers surveyed by @LocalCircles this month received spam calls daily; Only 13% came from toll free numbers. 53% petrol vehicle owners express discontent with #E20 roll out. For a few questioning the survey accuracy, we would urge the ARAI or #PetroleumMinistry to survey random pre-2023 petrol vehicle owners across atleast 300 districts of India who have been buying E20 petrol from pumps in their area to share their experience. After 3 surveys on the subject, @LocalCircles firmly believes that atleast 2 in 3 will report the mileage drop. Once that is clear, the Ministry must figure out the root cause, be it E20 the petrol, adulteration, contamination, improper storage and dispensing or whatever else. The bottom line is the vehicle owners are reporting a problem and till the Government figures this out and resolves, the consumer must be given a choice (E0/E10)

Percentage of pre-2023 vehicle owners reporting increased wear & tear due to #E20 petrol rose from 29% to 55% in just one month per the latest @LocalCircles survey.
