If we’re still a while off from opening the Eglinton Crosstown, why doesn’t @Metrolinx open Mount Dennis GO/UP Express station (which looks complete) in advance of the LRT? Would provide a rapid transit link to Union Station, and represent a quick win for the local community.

@JayBeeGooner On the 506, ashdale (which gets removed for cafeto already) and either sackville or sumach (very close together). But again the biggest issue imo is tsp and dedicated lanes. Having seen the report though

@TransitThinker Long dwell times due to high passenger numbers at stops. Removing stos wont fix that. Riders total travel will increase due to longer walks and longer dwell times at fewer stops. What stops? A stop consolidation report came out on 2014, and IIRC, not much came for the report.

Been riding an ebike for a year now, it's faster than transit, & comparable to driving, at a fraction of the cost, while helping the environment. Bike lanes keep me (and many others) safe while reducing traffic

Too many drivers across Ontario are stuck in gridlock for hours every day and bike lanes are making things worse. Next week, we’re introducing legislation that would require cities to get provincial approval for any new bike lanes that require removing a lane of traffic.

@Miles_n_Hour Bike lanes literally take people out of cars, the only thing that causes car traffic is cars. There are some reckless cyclists, but there are also tons of reckless drivers, and they still get the most road space

@TransitThinker The reason traffic is more congested is because vehicle traffic lanes were used to make bike lanes in most cases. License plates and insurance for bicycles as a user fee should be a consideration due to how ignorant some of these riders are in VEHICLE traffic lanes.

@TransitThinker I've had exactly the same experience! I e-bike from the junction to downtown almost every day and prefer it to every other way of getting around the city! Will really suck if some of my bike lanes get removed :(

lol the TTC now posting that riders shouldn't complain about a subway that can't go faster than 10km/h Keeping trains safe doesn't require slow zones on most transit systems!

Fun Fact: Did you know there are over 30 new GO Transit Stations proposed across the network? Once completed, the General Toronto & Hamilton Area will have over 100 GO Stations, and potentially up to 10 regional rail lines.

The lane closures on Overlea Blvd in Thorncliffe Park are causing traffic backups, delaying transit service for those who need it the most. Just waited 30+ mins for a NB 100 bus. The city should restrict Overlea between the EYTC west entrance and the Costco entrance to only buses
