@JFDL @JaredSandler Here’s Astros/Rangers attend. and payroll side-by-side. Fair to say the Astros didn’t lose much in the lean years due to low payroll. But, interesting that our payroll this year is only $8 mill more than stros. Our attendance in our top 3 seasons was 5th. 2nd and 2nd in the AL.

@JFDL @JaredSandler That’s expensive for teams that rely on fans to pay the bills. They lost many millions during those season to become what they have been in the last 6-7 seasons. Again, Talent costs money any way you slice it.

@JFDL @JaredSandler My point is, they lost money in the process to build what they have. They did a great job of building no doubt. And yes, I’m sure the successes since have financially more than made up for their hard times. But it still cost them.
