I just read through the DSA's new platform. It is the most utopian/dystopian, bat-sh*t insane thing I have ever read. It includes: 1. No more bills for anyone 2. Government-run food, housing, medicine, transportation, and nationalizing all other large corporations and essential industries 3. The drafting of a “new constitution” 4. Defunding the Department of War 5. Slavery reparations 6. Unlimited free abortion and “gender-affirming care” for all, including minors 7. Have taxpayers pay off everyone’s entire student debt & fund unlimited “free” higher education for all 8. Taking “steps toward fully abolishing the police and prison system” 9. Ending ALL deportations, providing amnesty for ALL illegal immigrants, and allowing unlimited migration to America 10. Abolish the Presidency, Supreme Court, and Senate Other than that, their plans seem super realistic, practical, and not at all naive, revolutionary, or dystopian. 🤡🤡🤡

What occurred outside 26 Federal Plaza this morning was deeply disturbing. I’m relieved no one was seriously injured and that a suspect is in custody. I just tried to write a review and it just ate it. Doesn’t even try to “verify” my ticket or anything. Just deletes your negative review. I didn’t say one word about the casting at all.

This is why all movies since 2008 suck. Not only are the actors of lesser talent, but every movie blends together because it’s the same odd mix of miscast characters detracting from immersion and believability. It’s more often than not that I quit movies in the first 5 minutes after a nonsensical interracial couple is forced into the story — people who obviously would never be together. It kills it.

@LemmeReact I think it was actually around 2008 when things went bad. That was Tropical Thunder, possibly the very last truly subversive politically incorrect major Hollywood studio film. Past that point, everything became DEI and female driven: the stories, the leads, the themes.

Watched Troy (2004) for the first time before I went to see The Odyssey on opening day. Troy is better and it’s not even close. I’m convinced that ever since 2020 Hollywood has gone downhill BADLY with the immoral and inaccurate agendas that they push. It ruins movies. Go watch Troy. Brad Pitt is phenomenal as Achilles.
