An “AI digital creator” pretending to be from Glasgow and posting a fake photo of themselves inside Murrayfield is really weird. Nothing can convince me that unmoderated Generative AI images are a good thing.

It's astonishing how willing national broadcasters and the EBU are to destroy Eurovision rather than let Israel feel the slightest bit of accountability for systematically murdering thousands of children.

@jacksfilms Probably a stupid question, but why didn’t they hire some comedy writers?

Hi! I'm one of the prompt writers that worked on this ad. It's a lot harder than people think! Prompts that my team used include: -make it funny -make it epic AND funny -funnier!!! Please be nice to my team as many of them will be laid off/replaced by AI

McDonald's has released an AI-generated Christmas ad The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did' Comments have been turned off on YouTube

@RealStephenKerr On the contrary Stephen: It was indeed Thatcher who ran down our shipyards. And not only those, but practically all the heavy industry in Scotland. We have long memories Stephen. You seem to forget that.

It wasn't Margaret Thatcher who ran down our shipyards to the extent we need to buy ferries from Turkey. You've been in power in Scotland for 19 years so it's utterly pathetic trying to deflect. It's clear you have no achievements to call upon so rely on grievance.
John Swinney@JohnSwinney

Keir Starmer’s policies on Scottish industry risk repeating the economic devastation caused by Thatcher in the 1980s. This morning, I’ll set out how independence is fresh start we need - putting Scotland’s wealth in Scotland’s hands. Tune in on @theSNP channels at 10am.

@RealStephenKerr Stevie, your party tried to shut down shipbuilding in Scotland, and if it weren't for a determined workforce, led by a great man Jimmy Reid then thousands of skilled jobs would have been lost. The SNP saved Fergusons yard, and they deserve credit for that.

@RealStephenKerr Yes it was maggie thatcher and the tories that closed down the shipyards every time they were in power over a twenty odd year timeframe, whereas independent Norway’s shipyards have boomed, union control in Scotland is poisonous and so detrimental to Scots,it is essential we leave

On the contrary, Thatcher oversaw the rundown of not only the shipyards, almost all heavy industry in Scotland. If you weren't a part of her Home Counties financial services 'revolution', she couldn't have cared less. How do I know? I was an engineer in the West of Scotland, on the receiving end of much of her industrial vandalism.

When Shettleston's George Wyllie sailed a massive paper boat down the Thames and through Tower Bridge on 9th September 1989, with the Saltire-emblazoned mast forcing the bridge open, he must've wanted to raise awareness of what c*nts the SNP were going to be in 20-35 years' time.

"There’s no reason to believe that the movie itself is better in any size of screen" sounds an awful lot like "You'd be better off rolling the movie into a cylinder and shoving it up your ass rather than watching it, bovine scum that you are. P.S. Give us more Oscar noms!"
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos argues that ‘BARBIE’ and ‘OPPENHEIMER’ would have been just as big on Netflix. “There’s no reason to believe that the movie itself is better in any size of screen for all people. My son’s an editor, he watched ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ on his phone” (Source: nytimes.com/2024/05/25/mag…)

"You will pay us £11.99 per month to walk over and look at the tree for 15 minutes each day; we will aggressively push you to pay a further £4/mth so that Auntie Agnes is allowed to leave the ward and look at the tree too (assuming she can successfully transport the saline drip)"
