Our latest @NatureComms paper is out! We show a new protocol using #NKX3.1 to efficiently generate mural progenitors from h-iPSCs. These progenitors mature into SMCs and pericytes, supporting vascularization in vivo—a promising step for vascular therapies. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Bonus: this project resulted in some of the most beautiful islet immunofluorescence staining that I’ve done. Since I had to shrink all of those beautiful pictures down to tiny parts of figures, here is my favorite in full resolution (Ins=green, Gcg=blue, FAM159B=red, DAPI=white)
