@BathEcho It is such a shame. Local charities provide vital services for their communities and an enterprise like the bike workshop was delivering to the community while supporting vulnerable people to be more independent.

They say that it wasn't until 1931 that the first lady bell ringers were introduced into the tower at St James Church. They proved to be such a success that within just a few years a complete band of lady ringers could often be heard chiming out over Bratton.

I'm useless at DIY. Or so I thought. But today I've fixed one tap, changed two tap heads, unblocked an outside drain, fixed the shed using nails and a hammer. All these tasks were successful because of YouTube videos. One of the benefits of modern life is that there is a YouTube video that shows you how to do anything.

UK adults owe so much to the TV they watched as children. Why aren't they making sure their own children get the same chance?

I really resent having adverts on the BBC. Yes, it’s for IPlayer, but it’s still just an advert. When they change ends at #Wimbledon you’re supposed to get commentators filling with stats, anecdotes & crowd spotting. Not ads for Gavin & Stacey. Surely that’s in the charter?!
