Poll!!! Bottom line: Older voters remain undecided longer than the younger folks, who see a new shiny object and latch on quickly. @Janeese4DC has hit a ceiling. It's @kenyanmcduffie's time to shine. #McMentum

Bowser has chosen to stoke political divisions vs. the council to distract from her inept management of many areas, and tweeters are really falling for that. She could have tried to build bridges at any time, but won't do that.

So the answer is, elect the person who's promising to continue the current path, as a way of getting change????

@alpert David, this is exactly how I feel. The city is not run well. Trash not getting picked up, wasteful contracts, no warranty follow up, don’t get me started on schools. Who wants more of that? Not me. I’m with @Janeese4DC I believe she’ll do better.

This is everything that's wrong with tweeter arguments about this race. DC has been run by Bowser for 12 years. On education, crime, economic development she has 95-99% of the power. But raise something not working, and it's blame "progressives" who didn't make it this way
Jordan Weissmann@JHWeissmann

The very obvious solution to get more parents to stick with DCPS for middle school would be to offer advanced tracking, but no way the city’s progressives would swallow that.

@jsfreed @neeratanden How bad it can get? Trash pick up is wildly inconsistent . $67 million dollars doing a shitty job on snow removal. Fraud and waste in our contracting. I’m not voting for more of that. I think @Janeese4DC will make the city run better.

I know you have. But I never see you criticize anyone except the @councilofdc. When you post about the outrageous waste, fraud, and abuse I never see you criticize the mayor or her people. Which makes me think you are paid to slam the council. (My opinion from my mansion)
Potomac Fever@FeverPotomac

@TriciaForWard3 @councilofdc I do plenty. I know it doesn't matter much for the people in mansions in the Palisades, but I've been criticizing the violence interrupter programs for years.

I think you get paid to shit post the @councilofdc, especially the more progressive members.
Potomac Fever@FeverPotomac

@Janeese4DC Why did the Council hold ZERO public hearings on this legislation? These are big tax changes that affects DC residents and businesses. The federal bill was passed in July, so you had plenty of time.

If you read the article, the City discovered the fraud and severed ties with the company in 2024. You are expressing outrage at fraud they actually stopped!

A new report from @ChmnMendelson says the D.C. Department of Buildings (successor to DCRA) is failing to prevent and punish illegal construction in the city. The report says there's not enough inspectors, they aren't well trained, and there's no system to track repeat offenders.

@jnuzzi08 @maustermuhle We’ve passed those laws. No one is satisfied with the speed of implementation. What I was trying to say was federal infrastructure funds can help speed up these capital projects.

If USDOT actually cared about safety, they would say: “Hey DC, we’ve reviewed your ATE data and for the high violation corridors, what your plans to do infrastructure change? Let’s see if there are available grants that can help pay for those capital projects.”

DC Politics - Someone or some group is in the field with a detailed poll on candidates, District officials and issues. A citizen shared several pages. Here are two of the pages on Kenyan McDuffie and Janeese Lewis George. @wcp

@maustermuhle @DCHunger Ward 3 resident here. The stores are clearly following new denser housing. Where I live the average distance to a grocery store is 2.5-3.0 miles. One more reason to support increased density in your area.

This data from @DCHunger shows how crazy the grocery disparity is in D.C. Ward 3 alone has more full-service groceries than wards 7 and 8 combined.

@billyez2 My neighborhood has ONE streetery, just ONE. And it’s the hardest restaurant to get into. I don’t understand why it wasn’t allowed to stay.
