@Uber_Support This isn't an appropriate response. The cost of the trip before the adjustment you just applied was >$20. The cost of the round trip was >$40. I would like a full refund for both trips.

@vintage_blk @ZachBIsrael I'm not sure it's net good that a lot of the electorate isn't even aware there's an election going on. Doing it in November helps focus attention. Might be better if the Dem party in DC explicitly splintered and held separate primaries. Or make it a jungle primary.

@DemolishSEblvd The judicial system isn't built for the throughput necessary to go after these folks. STEER is a nice tool but fundamentally the city needs to have the capacity to impound scofflaw vehicles at scale.

The fact that we rely on people on Twitter makes the STEER act a joke. Yeah, this will go viral and this car will be impounded (eventually), but DC does like 45 cases a quarter. This is not enough.

A former colleague just beat a DC speed-camera ticket at the DC Court of Appeals. DC tried to make a ±1 mph margin of error vanish by regulation. The court held a coin flip isn’t clear and convincing evidence. Ticket dismissed; math remains undefeated. dccourts.gov/sites/default/…

It's amazing how the DC Office of Planning is trying to sell their plan like it's an actual change. It's not, at all. It keeps the status quo in place and housing costs high. There is not a SINGLE area in the city where the plan would measurably increase housing.

@AGuglik @DCPoliceUnion Weird. The General Order authorizing this pilot doesn't list tracking a vehicle as a permitted use. "Locating a suspect" is only allowed in very specific conditions that won't typically apply to suspects in a vehicle. @DCPoliceUnion would you support changing this?

Really frustrating experience yesterday. This black truck runs a stop sign in front of me and then his exhaust smells terrible so I’m always figuring this dude has citations. He stops for gas at the Exxon on 14th and Otis and I look up his tickets.
