Originally, an Orthodox catechism involved a few years of purification. The catechumen practiced the noetic prayer under the guidance of an illumined elder until their nous was no longer preoccupied with the world. Then, once the elder perceived this, the catechumen was baptized.

The hawks are making the same mistakes the isolations make, it’s amazing how emotional ideologues can be. Being overly dramatic and insulting isn’t going to change Trump’s position, or his supporters for that matter. If you think immediate retaliation against Iran for a strike that resulted in 0 deaths is the right choice then explain the benefits, list the targets, give the downsides to not doing so etc. Do all of that while acknowledging the current trajectory of Iran losing 100s of millions/day, having food shortages, having 0 propaganda to run, and losing leverage quickly with the blockade in place at the same time oil markets are stabilizing. If you’re going to advocate for disrupting the surprisingly effective status quo then make your case and acknowledge the costs/benefits.
