"To most of you, this is a toy. A coach’s signal. A dollar-store trinket. But in Ukraine, this is what a mother hangs around her child’s neck before she tucks them into bed. [...] While American children are taught to listen for the school bell, ours are taught how to breathe through the smoke—or under the crushing rubble of a fallen building—long enough to blow this whistle. In Ukraine, we want our children to play. Instead, we teach them how to be found." — @StefanishynaO, 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 After the missiles, the greatest threat is silence. On Feb 25 at @CFR_org, Ambassador @StefanishynaO made clear that ending the war is not about a deadline — it is about ending it in a way that allows Ukrainians to continue living, building, and raising their children safely. A just peace means real protection. Protecting Ukraine’s sky means preventing walls from falling over children’s beds and stopping missile strikes on homes, schools, and hospitals. Civilian protection is not abstract. It is urgent. Learn about how to support Ukrainian children: htts://soundoflife.co #SoundOfLife #ProtectUkrainianChildren #StandWithUkraine #CFR

It’s hard to grasp this number. Over 90,000 missing. Mostly military but also civilians and children. Each one is a name, a life, a family still waiting. All because of Russia’s war

For four years, the Ukrainian people have fought against Putin’s murderous invasion with unstoppable bravery. As Ukrainians fight against Russian inhumanity & brutal destruction, we must match their courage with action.

Today marks 4 years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Today, and every day, I stand with the Ukrainian people in their defense of their democracy and their freedom. The United States must continue to do all that it can to ensure Ukraine prevails and that Putin is held accountable for his unprovoked aggression.
