Tonight, on the eve of the 109th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, thousands of faithful illuminated the Shrine in Portugal for the breathtaking Candlelight Procession. It was in this very field on May 13, 1917, that the Blessed Virgin Mary first appeared to three young shepherd children. Over a century later, that profound moment of grace continues to resonate, drawing millions of pilgrims every year to one of the most revered Marian sites in the world.
