@c0eseph @TripleD2156 @minakimes But the argument here isn’t the best WR versus the best RB, it’s a top 3 RB versus maybe a top 15-20ish WR. The money argument is also a bit weak imo because there’s so many other variables in that number that come into play other than pure value on the field.

There’s an easy way to settle this debate…. Look at what NFL teams actually pay the players.

You are telling me things im fully fucking aware about. My point is using money as an indication of value is dumb by bring Kirk Cousins up. You can't use just one metric for "value" in the NFL, and it especially cant be money. You and i both know scarcity/longevity factor into how much you are paid especially as a RB. You can be a WR longer than a RB and you can draft a "replacement level" rb in the 7th round. You can't consistently get those lvl of production from any other position. That is why comparing money btw position is stupid and Mina cant actually being doing that w/out also saying "every player making <$20 mil is less valuable than Kirk Cousins"

@TripleD2156 @minakimes I suspect her point was more about the trends than the specifics. Look at the franchise tag numbers: QB is $45m, OL, WR, LB, DL are $25m, DB is $20m, TE and RB are $15m - pretty easy to see a tier list of positional value based on where teams spend their money
