This is wrong. An OTC desk is effectively an offline vendor of sorts. They put buyers and sellers together who want to move big size and there is no price oracle there. Everything is done at a spread to the spot price. The desks are often run by exchanges and they KNOW the large players because those entities have accounts there. That's how they find them. It is better for everyone for desks to match large buyers and sellers outside of the liquid books where traders and DCA folks put their limit orders, as often as possible, because the liquidity is not sufficient. There is no price discovery except when they have to pull supply from books on the margins. But what the ETFs have shown now for two full years is that there is AMPLE SUPPLY willing to be sold at modern prices. Onchain is a record of this happening. It is not a conspiracy. People just don't understand all the ways the market functions and expect everything to happen in the open. There is an entire ecosystem constructed for this purpose.

These guys live in New York and have a permanent parking spot outside their home. They were doing repairs on the sidewalk and parked their car across the street until the cement was dry. A man comes along and sees a free parking spot and takes it. So the homeowners call the cops the next morning. The cop tells them this person has gotten 20 other parking violations. After the ticket is written, the homeowner can then call a tow. The next evening, 24 hours later, the neighbor shows up looking for his car threatening to sue them. Should the homeowners not called the tow or should the neighbor had asked to park in their spot?

This wallet debate is completely getting out of hand Now even people like @HugoPhilion joined the discussion - just waiting for Brad and David to join 😂 My opinion - if we wanna compete with other chains and the broader crypto space we should see what works over there for years and take that as a standard The teams should be able to eat and in best case get rewarded with profits for the time and effort they put into developing and running a wallet we use on a daily basis At the same time users shouldn’t pay service fees for every single interaction they do on the ledger while this harms adoption and other devs but hey that’s just me Most important point for a wallet is that it’s safe and I’m sick of hearing one wallet is safer than the other or this wallet is the „safest“ How can you tell wallet a is safer than wallet b if both are audited and never had any sort of exploit? At the end everyone is free to use whatever they like to use and here you’ve got a few to choose from @JoeyWallet - the wallet I currently use the most while it’s easy to navigate and gives me a nice overview of my assets and their value Launched by @xrpl_adam and @piggedup - both around for like 5 years on the ledger with different products already proven themselves endless times @XamanWallet from @WietseWind / @XRPLLabs the wallet I used from the first day since I joined 2021 Stil using it from time to time - not super happy with the service fees and I hadn’t to pay them while using the pro version in the past @DropFiWallet - zero fee wallet Haven’t looked into it yet but will definitely give it a try in the future Audited by the same company as Joey and available in the UK @ClassyXoge with mad labs also giving an alternative if it comes to extension wallets - check his X page and you will find all the details there I personally only use mobile wallets so I can’t say a lot about it but so far I only heard good things about it There are even more wallets out there but these are the ones a) I saw involved in discussions or b) I used personally Stay safe out there and thanks for reading all that 🤝❤️

With Bitcoin back at $69k, the 2021 peak, I have started buying some of my crypto back to capture the spread from Oct 4 sells. Still have a LARGE cash position. But, locking in some gains from this fall. BTC, ETH, and XRP. A big victory for me. Now we hunt for a bottom.
