Interesting to compare the 2020 LA curfew with the current one.
In 2020, the curfew was city-wide and without exceptions (from my memory)
The current curfew seems much more "narrowly tailored."
But did LA try less restrictive policies? What were the threats justifying?

It’s kind of amazing how much better your offers from prosecutors get when they know you’ll set cases for trial if you get a shit offer. I got a 120 day jail offer and when my client rejected and I said we were setting for trial the new offer was 0 days jail

Also, from my own experience you really can't believe press releases. It was a sweep. Were people allowed to say no?

@LukeRodriguez75 And maybe it leads to perm housing but based on the city's track record I would bet against that. Even if that's what the media reports. Every time I've been able to stay in contact w ppl after these efforts, most of them end up back out on the street
