I defended Netanyahu earlier today, and now I’m going to defend Tucker from similar false smears. I’ve known Tucker for close to 20 years, and the claim that he is anti-Semitic is absurd, as his own words attest. It sure would be nice if we could go back to arguing positions on their own merits instead of using the commie tactic of smearing anyone who disagrees as racists or Nazis.

Hey @KTVU, I read your article about the outrageous items in the 2025 end-of-the-year spending spree under Pete Hegseth. It was very informative. Then I went to the same watchdog website and pulled up the 2024 end-of-the-year spending spree under Lloyd Austin and you wouldn't believe what I found. I think it's safe to say you would find it equally outrageous, had you bothered to look - either before you published this piece or when it came out a year ago on the same website. I've included a link and have attached a comparison for your convenience. I'd love to hear back from you as to whether you find the 2024 Austin expenditures equally outrageous, or if it tempers your outrage at the 2025 Hegseth expenditures. One would think a news organization would consider it to be a valuable bit of context with which to better inform your readers. It's a shame you didn't bother to look it up. I enjoyed “steak night” in Mess Hall every Thursday for four years as West Point cadet between ‘83 and ‘87. Highlight of week. During three short deployments to Afghanistan between 2002 and 2003, I enjoyed steak and crab legs once a week (when available) in Mess Hall on Bagram Air Base. Was rare treat from typical MRE fare. If you've never covered the military, or served, or if you don't have any family or friends in the military this would seem like a shocking story. But it's not--not even remotely. It is a common practice for our country to provide these special meals to our service men and women at least once a week--Has been for decades. I did my due diligence to prove my point to anyone who doubts my accuracy -- in 2009 when Robert Gates was the secretary defense during the Obama administration I present you with a story from a reporter who was embedded with the soldiers in Afghanistan. "The lobsters and crab legs are shipped from the United States and driven down on a refrigerated truck from Bagram. On seafood night, the crew serves up 400 of the tasty tails, 130 pounds of Alaskan King crab legs, and 135 pounds each of shrimp and scallops."
