Even the bears want to buy cheap bitcoin, the only disagreement is about what price and when. Typical 4-year cycles suggest a 70%+ drawdown that lasts ~12 months, taking bitcoin near $40K around October 2026. Many believe this is a certainty. But after 5 straight red months, virtually every model indicates bitcoin is already in deep discount territory as it retests last cycle's highs and the 2024 consolidation range. This extended sideways price action squeezed the monthly Bollinger Bands tighter than ever before (BBW), suggesting the real expansion is yet to come. $BTC At some point during this downtrend, there's going to be another deviation that makes everyone think the worst is over. A sharp rally that sweeps a key level. Maybe it reclaims $75K for a few days. Maybe it's another leg lower that bounces hard back into the $60K range. It doesn't matter because the endgame is the same. Timeline fills up with "told you it was the bottom" and "bears in shambles." It won't be the bottom. This is how every range during a downtrend works. The move is designed to pull people back in. To get the sidelined buyers confident enough to re-enter. To get the shorts to close. To reload demand so the next leg down has liquidity to sell into. The deviation is the most convincing part of the entire structure. It has to be. If it didn't feel real, it wouldn't work. When it happens, watch what follows. If the move is genuine, you'll see volume dry up on pullbacks and higher lows forming inside the range. If it's a trap, the rally stalls quickly, volume stays heavy, and price rolls back over within days. We're not there yet. But when it comes, and it will, that's the moment where most people make the wrong decision. Be ready for it.
