@Truly_jay03 I think we need one more experienced big man that has played major minutes. Jacob has played 25 career minutes and Arafan has zero. I have a long list of big men, but I’m a known fan of Mr. Dak.

@CoachCoog @Joseph_Duarte @HoustonChron I guess it also depends on how good Arafan actually is because, as Coach Sampson says, 'These guys aren’t always as good as we think they are.' In that case, I’d be happy with Arafan coming off the bench, but I'm hoping Chris improves that low-post scoring if he does come back

This wouldn't necessarily be an issue either bc we'll need 3, maybe even 4 good Bigs, to make a run anyway

@JaysXLNC @SunDevilCoog08 @ryanhammer09 We can agree to disagree. Jojo just isn’t a first round draft pick imo: The defensive intangibles and tools are other worldly, but the offensive skillset is still raw, still lacking a jumper and still has fouling problems

@Truly_jay03 @SunDevilCoog08 @ryanhammer09 I strongly disagree tbh. He’s just about as good of a defensive prospect you will ever find. Elite athlete, insane wingspan, can literally do it all on defense. The foul trouble would be mightily concerning in the nba though.

I love the Houston program & how its run but every year a cold nights puts them out.
2026: S16 - 34% FG%, 28% 3pt%
2025: Title game - 35% FG%, 24% 3pt%
2024: S16 - 41% FG%, 25% 3pt% (Shead*)
2023: S16 - 37% FG%, 29% 3pt%
2022: E 8 - 30%FG%, 5% 3pt%
2021: F4 - 38% FG%, 32% 3pt%
Such consistent incredible success but they need that title. They're not going anywhere but start to feel like Gonzaga at its peak in the 2010s

Look. Here’s what went wrong this year:
- Uzan regressed
- We were incredibly young
- The bench, until Mercy and Chase starting producing late, was lacking
That’s it. 30 wins, 2nd in the conference, Sweet 16 all amazing. A really good team.
Not a great team like last year.
