Asian 🐘s are more closely related to woolly mammoths than they are African 🐘s - as demonstrated by Aung-bo's fuzzy calves! @chesterzoo #mud

What a devastating loss for science. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to study with Frans, and then continue to work with him for so many years. news.emory.edu/features/2024/…

Totally amazing to be part of @Kidicalmassmcr today. Joy, colour, fun, music, togetherness. A huge demonstration of the desire to get around our city by bike, if only it was always this safe.

@CarlBovisNature I married into a family of birders, and have learned about one thing about birds in 28 years, namely: it’s easy to tell them apart because the moorhen has *more* red on it.

Happy to be elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London - the world’s oldest active society devoted to natural history. Founded in 1788 & named after the father of taxonomy Carl Linnaeus, this is where Darwin first presented his theory of #evolution paper! @LinneanSociety

🦇Why I'm batty about elephants: Their intelligence & use of infrasound (sound waves below human hearing, 20Hz) to communicate blew my brain🧟‍♂️. Not that there's anything spooky ~elephants - but I wonder if infrasonic playbacks in a haunted🏚️ might get your attention today!👻🎃

Do you have the right experience to help us diversify our funding streams through products & merch? Perhaps a cause/conservation marketing background?

A lovely sunny day chatting to everyone about beasties with my own little hungry caterpillar in tow 🐛 Can't wait to find out which wildlife start appearing at Bluebell Green!
Friends of Chapel St Park@ChapelStPark

Fantastic weekend at Bluebell Green #CommunityGarden, almost 100 people came along for World Wildlife Day activities, enjoying stories, bug hunts, crafts, sowing seeds and building more beds for growing. Our next event is Saturday for #IWD2022 Women’s Day 10am-2pm #Levenshulme
