@bluewmist There’s a very simple concept you’re not considering here: in one you’re owned, a slave to the organisation, restricted days, restricted time off, can be sacked, made redundant, etc
In the other, you own the organisation, and if setup well.. you can have true freedom.
English

@xaskdev @Spot_on_Domino @callmeMaharani I’d rather be a slave to my own business worrying about competition and income than a slave to someone else’s dream.
English

@Spot_on_Domino @callmeMaharani starting your business is the biggest rat race ever,
you will have anxiety, cant have a slow life,
always risk of competitors taking you over.

Chris Williamson lays out the terrifying math of birth rate collapse:
For every 100 South Koreans today, there will be only 4 great-grandchildren in 100 years.
A 96% population drop.
The UK is on a similar path — “precipitous” decline.
Elon Musk warns about this constantly.
The shape of society flips upside down:
Fewer young people to work, pay taxes, support pensions, provide healthcare.
More elderly needing care.
Fewer nurses. Less economic vitality.
Even if AI boosts efficiency massively…
5–10 companies could capture almost all wealth and power.
That’s not exactly a recipe for an egalitarian society.
If birth rates keep collapsing this fast, do we hit a “top of civilization” peak in 70 years — then a steep, irreversible decline?
Or does AI/immigration/tech somehow reverse the trend?

Am I the only one that just looks at the process, the stage, the theatre.. it’s just one big act and has been like this for far too long. We need this whole stupid process abolished and a real British leader to step in and remove all these greedy bad actors, remove uk parliament.

A lot more people should listen to this advice
Too many young graduates make the mistake of searching for jobs that they have passion for
In the process, they end up feeling lost and not making any progress at all
The better route to take is to look for a job that
> pays you enough money to pave the path for financial freedom
> you like just enough that you can bear through the boredom and office politics for long periods of time
There is no job out there that is meant to be the promise land. No career path will make you feel fulfilled every minute or day of your life
The right path to follow is to spend less than you make, invest wisely, and attain financial freedom so that you can do what you feel truly passionate about

@GriftReport @alannahcassie DEI policies are tools of white discrimination. Open market doesn’t not need them at all, the way ESG scores work are tyrannical and it all should be scrapped ASAP.
Don’t worry, we know what we are voting for. We are voting for nationalism. We oppose the globalist agenda.
English

@GriftReport @alannahcassie Post modern Liberal indoctrination needs to be studied…
Net Zero is a geopolitical tool to control the public, fear monger them to not travel, etc.. there is no evidence it is having benefit, if anything it is part of the reason electricity prices have shot up.

Girl on Tik-Tok reads out Reform UK's policies and says they are bad and that Reform voters haven't read them.
What do you think of their policies?

@StoneStandards @2147mill Which one? I plan to do the same with S&P500 & BTC but the thinking about working a job I hate for 17 years depresses me
English

@TruthfulXBT @2147mill It's a global fund, but US stocks have a heavy weighting. I've been paying in each month for 7 years. If I do another 10 years and performance remains similar, then should break a million GBP.
English

Feel like you’re behind financially?
Reality check:
The average £37k salary is reached in your mid-30s
The average first-time UK homebuyer is ~34
The average UK millionaire is in their late-50s
Social media turns 30 years of progress into a 30-second highlight reel.
You’re not late.
You’re normal.
The only real mistake is doing nothing.
Start where you are.
English

@StoneStandards @2147mill S&P500? How many years do you do that for?
English

@TruthfulXBT @2147mill Monthly investments into a global tracker.
English

@Tekeee In the UK, in theory you could retire around the £1M mark given you’re financially literate and investment savvy: say mortgage was paid off and £1m was sat in S&P yielding £100k (10%) a year on average. That’s a good life with a few holidays each year not having to work.
English

@shinakira00 @sportsarecool5 @BurrowBeliever @AshAgony @litteralyme0 The thing we all hate about its current state is what is called hyper capitalism, or in other words monopolies.. this is just extreme greed from the elites for more power, in systemic force creating huge inequality. Capitalism isn’t inherently flawed as a concept, humans are.
English

@sportsarecool5 @BurrowBeliever @AshAgony @litteralyme0 I agree. And i'm not saying Capitalism isn't currently broken. Ppl just read the comment and assumed I'm pro everything wrong with capitalism. It's no longer benefitting the ppl it should. That just means we need to fix it, not get rid of it. The alternative isn't great either
English

@2147mill Took me until I was over 40 to realise how easy it is to get rich slowly.
English

@AutismCapital What app is this? @SwiperThe1 you down to make some fake AI generated baddies and start marketing the fuck out of them with an OF attached and rinse these simps??
English

Crazy to think in the next couple of decades, the UK’s society will primed up for full blown Orwellianism, all technologies will be built to trap people, we are advancing to higher levels of globalism and monopolisation for the elites, and there’s no one to fight it for us

@freedombill3 But bill, only issue with this, is you still need to work for a long period of your life unless you are a high earner which majority arnt..
Your tweet is exactly what I’m doing but being in the UK where tax’s are high and bills are high, even with a moderate frugal approach
English

If I woke up tomorrow with £0 in the bank and no portfolio, I wouldn't panic. I would just follow the exact same blueprint that got me here, but faster.
First, the emergency fund.... I'd scrape £1k together, sell the clutter, cancel the unused subscriptions, work the extra hours. Build the emergency buffer immediately and keep building over time so I don't need debt or to sell investments.
Second, the vehicle.... Open an ISA, day one, no delaying. It's the only tax haven we have or need.
Third, the strategy.... Buy a global or S&P 500 ETF, don't waste time trying to pick the next winning stock. Put 100% into a low cost tracker like $VWRL Vanguard Global or $VUSA Vanguard S&P 500.
That gives me instant ownership of....
$AAPL
$MSFT
$AMZN
$NVDA
$GOOGL
$TSLA
$AVGO
$META
$BRK.B
Fourth, the automation.... Automate the pain, set the direct debit for payday, even if £50. If I don't see the money, I can't spend it.
Rinse and repeat every month.
When I started years ago, I wasted time trying to be smart. I read too many news articles and hesitated too much, bought any hype stock and tried to time the market.
The maths is simple. The hard part was managing my own behaviour.
If I had to start again, I’d be even more boring.
I’d be rich sooner.
