fellas i need advice:
i’m trying to generally gain weight and eat more, which has been working ish. good days im hitting 3k calorie goal.
but then every few days i somehow just don’t eat (busy) and end up eating like 1k calories that day. like null appetite
is there some antiozempic i can take to become voraciously hungry? just make sure i run every morning? become a pot head? all suggestions welcome

the deeper i go into ml optimizations the more i realize that it is a system design problem. fast kernels are important yes, but how you integrate them matters a lot. the best part is there’s no one way to do things, you can be very creative and still get significant speedups!

Another point, the concept of token usage is broken. It incentives companies to have you think less and use the model more, pushing this point further.
They should be paid by results/outcome. If “software engineers are dead” then I should pay for results, not LOC.

Another artifact is that beyond the hype, the tools themselves are designed to make you pay less and less attention and offload more and more to the model. They sell this vision and create a workflow that is prohibitive otherwise.

There are a lot of people dunking on this guy and the arguments at the end of the day come down to "You are holding it wrong." But to be fair there has been nothing but a constant stream of "Stop holding it, Software Engineering is over shortly." I am not shocked that this has happened and I am 100% confident that this is not going to be the last one. The problem is the vogue nature of insane hype claims, most specifically from Dario himself being most guilty. People are lulled into a faux safety due to the belief that these LLMs are literal gods in their pocket. Infinite knowledge and speed for a simple monetary exchange. Cannot wait for ThePhilospher to explain how a loving God could delete a production database.
