@PaulTassi Final shape should have been the last big expansion. Begin work on D3. Provide some smaller fun updates to D2 as they work on D3 but story is done at final shape. Use D3 as a way to bring back people and reset the world completely.

Destiny 2 is ending. All expansions cancelled. No more content updates after this last one. It's over.
Destiny 2@DestinyTheGame

Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

@JonahDispatch @DavidAFrench If you wonder whether America could end up under a true autocrat, wonder no longer. Even the founding fathers couldn’t imagine a group of people as weak as the current Congress. If they had, I am guessing the system would look materially different than it does today.

@codegirl007 We have some real sociopaths running these companies but it wasn’t any different with Gates or Jobs. They don’t have the empathy gene. Jobs and Gates knew enough not to say that crap out loud at least. Clearly Amodei or Altman never learned that lesson.

I hate everything this guys says. I hate all of it. I didn’t even watch the video because I know it’ll just be something I hate. But scrolling past it, I can feel how much I hate it. It’s literally been years of this guy spewing this stuff. It’s not even me being in denial. Even if anything he’s said was true (very little of it has been), I just hate the way he puts it. It’s not coming from an innovation point of view of discovering amazing technology. It’s a “I’m enjoying ruining your life” view.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei : "Software is going to become cheap, maybe essentially free. The premise that you need to amortize a piece of software you build across millions of users, that may start to be false. But at the same time, there are whole jobs, whole careers that we've built for decades that may not be present. And, you know, I think we can deal with it. I think we can adjust to it. But I don't, I don't think there's an awareness at all of what, of what is coming here and the magnitude of it." --- From "The Wall Street Journal" YT channel (link in comment)

@808_38hz @realEstateTrent What’s funny is those layoffs probably had little to do with AI and was just cover for the fact Doresy super over staffs his companies. With AI excuse he can hide his mismanagement.

@realEstateTrent Pro AI/data centers folks completely fumbled the marketing. A week doesn’t go by where one of the CEOs says all of some job type will be wiped out. And oh yeah the data center we want to build will employ like 5 people when it’s done. Not much of a sales pitch to avg person.

Sarah, the Republican Party isn’t monolithic. Yes, there is a large bloc of MAGA diehards that are blindly loyal to Trump. But there’s also still a large segment of traditional Republicans that may like a few of Trump’s policies, but mostly can’t wait for Trump to leave office so they can be proud of the GOP again.

@paulg What’s more likely, we keep electing people that are so good at active trading that they regularly beat the market. A difficult task even for Wall Street firms. Or they are trading off of insider information thanks to their positions as Congressmen? Hmm …

Asked about the Iran War's effect on gas prices, Thomas Massie challenger, Ed Gallrein, replied: "The president is playing five-dimensional chess." "He is resetting the entire global power structure. So let him work through that to reset that, to set the conditions...just like President Reagan did. Exactly like President Reagan did."

@AmanitaFugax I think this has more to do with lack of new jobs created at the data center itself and that the CEOs of AI companies can’t go a few days without saying they are going to cause massive job losses. Why would the average American want to help with that?

The careless decision to reduce our force posture in Europe, along with moves by Pete Hegseth and his political henchmen to force out some of our finest general officers is amateur hour at best and deadly at worst. Hegseth continues to surprise and disrespect our greatest allies and some of our best military professionals with impulsive decisions not grounded in reality or good judgment. If the rumors are true that Hegseth is trying to sideline General Chris Donahue, one of our nation’s finest warfighters, by downgrading U.S. Army Europe-Africa to a 3-star command, he is taking another step down a dangerous path. A step that is not in the best interests of our nation or our servicemembers. General Donahue has dedicated his entire career to upholding the high standards and warrior ethos that Hegseth claims he is restoring to our ranks. Gen. Donahue has led Soldiers at all levels in Airborne (including Ft. Bragg’s 82nd) and Mechanized units, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and our most prestigious special operation units. He deployed over 20 times in support of Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, Inherent Resolve, Atlantic Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, European Assure, Deter and Reinforce, and in support of the Sudan crisis. Hegseth would do well to surround himself with more patriots like General Donahue and to get his henchmen, who are not qualified to carry Donahue's bag, out of the Pentagon. Keep your word, Mr. Secretary: choose meritocracy over your mediocre yes-men. notus.org/defense/pentag…

This was predictable. It’s exactly how he negotiated with North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un: didn’t prep; didn’t know the issues; bizarre, unreciprocated claims of ‘friendship;’ embarrassing photographs; a general obsequiousness toward autocrats It’s all bc Trump is so out of his depth
Tommy Vietor@TVietor08

Sounds like Trump just got bullied during his China trip. Trump kissed Xi's ass while Xi rolled him on Taiwan, offered no help on Iran, and now Chinese political analysts say the US looked weak and unprepared. Great work!

Mayor Brandon Johnson went to Springfield last week to ask for the power to add three new Chicago taxes: - Deliveries. $1 on every package. Groceries, prescriptions, Amazon, DoorDash and more. - Payroll. A new tax on large employers based on headcount. Seattle tried this in 2018 and repealed it within a month after companies threatened to stop hiring there. - Digital ads. A new tax on every dollar of ad revenue earned from Illinois viewers. Chicago doesn't need more taxes. Chicago needs more taxpayers. Grow the base. Don't squeeze it, you fool.
