Not that this is a bad test— King Josiah’s father was an evil man & wicked ruler, the law was lost, the Sabbath was unkept, and the land was filled with idol worship— and yet Josiah tore down the high places and served the Lord all his days. Poor elders are of no concern, rocks can be raised up to praise God, and youth is no cause for a lack of esteem (as Paul reminds Timothy). We will persevere
