Which scenario would you prefer heading into the season for the #Jets Scenario 1: Team is competitive the entire season. Aaron Glenn shows real improvement, rookies play well and finish with 7-8 wins. Own draft pick is in the 10-13 range Scenario 2: Team underperforms. Glenn is fired. Jets are in position to hire a new HC with a top 5 pick, 2 other first round picks and tons of cap space

It boggles my mind that Clay Holmes, one of the only bright spots of the David Stearns era, has gone out on a limb to become part of the Mets’ long-term solution, yet Stearns now wants to trade him. Holmes wants to be here and has been the Mets’ most consistent starter over the last two seasons. If they’re truly trying to compete in 2027, keeping Holmes should be a priority. Instead, it looks like Stearns is preparing to squander another one of the few things he actually got right.
