@JoelKatz @NavinFS @robertgraham @Martlet04 Permanently Lawfully Present is how it’s described on the CO DMV website.
English

@TylerHowd40629 @NavinFS @robertgraham @Martlet04 So non-citizens who are permanent residents can get it?
English

@NavinFS @robertgraham @Martlet04 My state dmv says
Colorado residents not eligible for REAL ID credentials include the following groups of individuals:
Undocumented/Non-Lawfully Present
Temporarily Lawfully Present
English

@TylerHowd40629 @robertgraham @Martlet04 Guy who doesn't know that non-citizens can get RealID. You don't even need to be on an immigrant visa. Eg international students can get it.
English

@robertgraham My honest interpretation of the text is a RealID is sufficient. If millions of Americans are kicked off the voter registration, then so be it. Our elections deserve to be better at any cost.
English

I wonder about abuse like this.
I understand the frustration: so many people seem deficient in what's obvious to me.
In this case, the person has read the SAVE Act, read the part that says "Real ID", and concludes I'm deficient for not having read it.
That text says: "(1) A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States."
The dispute, though, is about what this means. He thinks it means all Real ID is sufficient to register to vote. I think otherwise. A Real ID does not indicate citizenship, and is indeed given to non-citizens, and is not sufficient.
What the text is referring is "Enhanced Real ID" that indicates citizenship status. Only 5 states issue such IDs, and not be default.
Thus, 90% of the population cannot use their Real IDs (alone) to register to vote, change their registration, or challenge the state trying to purge the voter roles of people who have not proven their citizenship status.
This is a problem that any AI will describe, such as @grok. Just ask them if Real ID is sufficient, or whether additional proof of citizenship is needed under the SAVE Act.
Now, the AIs are often wrong, they only repeat what everyone is saying about the subect. But they can at least confirm that I have good reasons for my assertion "Real ID sin't sufficient", and the reason for believing this isn't simply because I have failed to read the bill.
My point is that I understand this frustration with the grossly ignorant, such as those who haven't bothered to read the bill. But at the same time, consider the delicious irony when you are abusive and wrong, such as in this case. A simple query of AI would confirm whether a reasonable, educated person might believe such a thing, and whether your abuse is warranted.

@robertgraham @Martlet04 It’s literally written in the bill that a RealID is all you need lol. Go fucking read it.
English

@robertgraham Oh shit I got quoted. Thanks for the thought out reply. I honestly don’t use AI to read government documents. I use AI in other tasks, but not for things like this. I need to see the language of the Bill and interpret it on my own. I apologize for being so rude.

@BeingJWood @Carolynkocheno2 I guess the voting rights act is unconstitutional then. Guess we should repeal that. See how insane that sounds?

@Martlet04 RealID isn't sufficient to vote under the SAVE Act. You have to meet additional requirements.
English

@robertgraham Almost everyone has a RealID. Please stop spreading lies. The cutoff for a RealID was May 7 2025. It’s required anywhere you need to show ID.

@solar_ric 3.52 this morning. Got my monthly dollar off tho, so paid 2.52 per gallon.

@Matt_Pinner Only one time and it wasn’t even that bad. My job forced me to get the vaccine anyway. I’ve never been so sick. I didn’t go back for the second shot. I found a new job.

@rbisrb I don’t chase followers, I don’t need the social validation of strangers to feel like a man.

@KOAA The Marksheffel road expansion project will be long done by the time construction starts on the complex. Just more dems screaming about needing more affordable housing, but refusing to build in their neighborhoods.
English

Homeowners in the Marksheffel Road area are voicing concerns about a proposed apartment complex. The Copper Station Multi-Family Project would include 330 affordable housing units on a plot of land between Graphite Drive and Zircon Drive. koaa.com/news/local-new…

@hodgetwins I can’t wait for these fucking RINOs to leave office.

@mark_k The only reason to have digital ID is to de-anonymize people to sensor their speech.

🚨FYI: Gavin Newsom has already signed California Assembly Bill 1043 which mandates that operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD implement system-level age (identity) verification.
This takes effect on January 1st, 2027.
Colorado also has a similar act called SB26-051 which is currently advancing through the committees and ready for full Senate consideration. It would come into effect on January 1st, 2028 if passed.
Utah, Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama all currently have app layer verification laws, but not OS level YET.
So OS level verification isn't a future thing. It's happening now. They are chokepointing the internet.
Enjoy these days.

It can always get worse, Anon. Heed these warnings. Resist as much as possible. This is bipartisan. Everyone deserves their right to privacy. Whether you want to say F ICE or call your homie a homo online — whatever side you’re on, you must fight this. Pay attention.

@TheMikeMorton @DOGE_HHS You sir are a retard. When billions of dollars in fraud is flowing out of this nation, nobody gives a shit about grandmas hemorrhoids. Kindly fuck off.

@DOGE_HHS DOGE has violated the Privacy Act in ways that cannot even be measured.

Today the HHS DOGE team open sourced the largest Medicaid dataset in department history.
This dataset contains aggregated, provider-level claims data for a specific billing code over time.
For example, using this dataset, it would have been possible to easily detect the large-scale autism diagnosis fraud seen in Minnesota.
Download the data yourself:
