@WhatTheForkAVFC He wasn't awful, but he gave the ball away so often, stray passes, caught in possession, he wasn't awful and did alot of good things, but he wasn't stand out either from what I saw

Yet i saw plenty of tweets about how shit he was last night and that we shouldn’t let him stay. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know what Villa twitter’s watching half the time.

Genuine question, ticket prices for 1/4 final. 1, too expensive 2, expected it 3, I’m ok with it 4, I don’t like it but i understand the financial aspect. @tuckers35 Arguably it's a foul the other way, he dives, leaves a leg out and takes the Everton player whilst not looking at the ball whatsoever so it's completely deliberate 🤔

I’d have him up there with one of the biggest cheats in the game The worst thing is the refs fall for it every time If he plays on he won’t do it anymore

@AvfcU @DerekAdamson I'm certain that one was looked at and not deemed a foul as Fofana was lying on the floor. Watkins was shouting to the ref after this by Chalobah but was ignored and he didn't make any more of it... feel like we need to play up more at times but don't think it will change the ref

@DerekAdamson Yeah that’s correct but just shows how crap we are at ‘playing the game’

I thought it was a penalty but the lack of any appeal made me not bother. It’s stonewall isn’t it #avfc

@ItsMeFletch_ @lacantheory We know why, and I'd argue the players didn't make enough of it either only Watkins made any form of noise after. The ref just waved it on and I don't remember the commentators saying anything either

@lacantheory @ItsMeFletch_ Even getting the shot away he's still arguably fouled, could agree it's a penalty at the least in my opinion. Would have been soft but it is a foul still and alot more of a foul than the united penalty against palace

@ItsMeFletch_ It shouldn't, but the defender bodies him as he shoots. Don't get me wrong he is missing chances and is caught offside for the one that goes in... but that first one I'm still not sold on it not being atleast a review

Bit of perspective on the Villa result. They were without the captain, last season’s player of the year, arguably the team’s most important player, their top scorer and their club record signing today. That’s not an excuse for losing to 10 men, but it’s worth considering. The squad isn’t deep enough just to suck that up.
