🎨🎨🎨 @create_xyz @CreatexyzJP @threejs Starry, starry night. Melting and swirling my favourite painting. My favourite thing with create, and building with Ai, is getting straight to the art, there is no friction between what you imagine, and what you can make.

Hired @threejs Landed dream role. Design Engineer. Time to cook. Thank you Creative Developers and Black Shirt Senseis who teach and share here on X freely. Making myself an over the top name badge to celebrate. Front and back textures made with @paper.

@melkornms Few passionates care about details; most people want to create cool 3D experiences without worrying about how they're made or run, as long as they work. Creativity is highly valuable, and with the right tools, amazing things can happen!

This one took me almost 2 years to master, soon every Threejs dev will master it with a simple Import: Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Simulation, 2D and 3D, optimized with Spatial Hashing and Compute Shaders. Optimized for WebGPURenderer with complete TSL compatibility!!

Had a fun bug while working on a TransmissionNodeMaterial for Three.js Plus. I’ll leave these settings available, I’m sure some creative developers are going to make something cool with them! Also, here's a preview of the starter with a native canvas recorder, HMR and more! 😎

💡 Three.js Tip of the Day #13 The "depth buffer" can be a confusing and mystifying topic in Three.js. Let's break it down! 🔨 The depth buffer is a special texture that stores the distance from the camera to the closest object for each pixel being rendered. The GPU uses the depth buffer to determine which objects are in front / behind each other. The cool part? We can create some interesting effects by telling the GPU when to write/read from the depth buffer by setting "depthWrite" and "depthTest" on the material, respectively. Here's a simplified view of how rendering works 🎥 1. Objects are drawn based on their "renderOrder" (0 → 1 → 2...) 2. If "depthTest" = true, for each pixel the GPU looks at the depth buffer and asks "Is something closer already here?" (if "depthTest" = false, the depth buffer is ignored entirely). 3. If not, draw the pixel. 4. If "depthWrite" = true AND the pixel is closer to the camera than the last object rendered at that pixel, the GPU updates the depth buffer with the new value. Who else randomly toggled these values until it worked (or didn't)? 🎲 #threejs #webgl #gamedev #3dgraphics #rendering #graphics #javascript
