In UM's concession, as @SamWebb77 notes, it says, "The Conference has confirmed that it is not aware of any information suggesting Coach Harbaugh’s involvement in the allegations," but does not exonerate his staff. In a carefully crafted statement, unlikely that's an oversight.

The NCAA has retroactively taken down banners before. But with Michigan, potential violations were uncovered midstream.

@slmandel UM is worth a lot of money to the TV networks. Would they be okay with Michigan being eliminated before the CFP even starts? Seems like Fox, ESPN, etc. call the shots.

You can never predict what the NCAA will do about anything, especially lately.
All I know is this is incredibly unique in that the alleged violations involve games played *during the current season* rather than years after the fact.

@slmandel Yeah man…I love the Athletic, but your wild speculation feels egregious on this one. Yes I’m a UM fan, but I don’t get this idea of “tainted” potential championship. Esp if 90% of schools are trying to steal signs. If they broke a rule, they should lose a couple scholarships

Another December, another offensive line transfer.
