@paulswaney3 I don’t know where I could even go to spend $28 on lunch. I’d say more like $15 which is still a problem, the $28 number is way over exaggerated.

This thing where people pretend to have uncovered a massive conspiracy when it’s actually just common knowledge (in this case, told by Rosa Parks herself) is moronic. The buses were segregated and she was arrested. The rest is online brain rot trying to justify it.
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

We have literally been lied to about everything Matt Walsh “The Rosa Parks story you were taught in school was fake too. This was not just some woman on her way home from work. Civil rights leaders thought Parks would make a sympathetic face for their lawsuit and then told her, a longtime NAACP volunteer, to create a situation where she'd be arrested. This gets sold to the public as totally organic when actually it's playacting to create ideal conditions for a court case or scandal. The iconic photo of Parks on the bus was staged months after the incident as part of a press campaign. (The photo is shown in the clip) The white man, sitting behind her in the bus photo was a journalist, which you probably didn't know.” Let’s fact check this. It’s 100% true What Actually Happened on December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks was a longtime NAACP volunteer and secretary of the Montgomery chapter. She had been deeply involved in civil rights activism for years (including work on cases like the Recy Taylor rape and voter registration efforts). She was not just a random tired seamstress on her way home from work who spontaneously refused to move. Local civil rights leaders had been looking for a strong test case to challenge bus segregation. They even had people cast for the role before Rosa Parks. Earlier attempts include 15 year old Claudette Colvin were passed over because leaders felt Rosa Parks, a mature, respected, married woman with a spotless reputation, would be a more sympathetic plaintiff in court and to the public The Iconic Photo was 100% staged The famous photo was taken on December 21, 1956, this is over a year after her arrest and on the first day the buses were integrated after the Supreme Court ruling It was deliberately staged by journalists, Look Magazine and UPI, for a press campaign to dramatize the victory The white man sitting behind her is Nicholas Chriss, a UPI reporter, not a random angry passenger or segregationist

I will never in a million years understand why these guys think it's some kind of an own when they point out that the Civil Rights Movement wasn't random but actually incredibly strategic and organized and aware of optics when they planned their civil disobedience campaigns.

The only fanbase in my living memory that took over Notre Dame Stadium (>50%) was Georgia in 2017 because season ticket holders cashed in after a disastrous 2016 season. Cincinnati had a lot of fans but mostly just in that section. Red is a vibrant color and ND fans don’t color coordinate - this makes it seem worse than it is (an issue at every ND bowl game). Ohio State fans made up a much smaller portion than expected in 2023. I am not even a little bit worried about SMU fans “taking over” despite ND being the definitive bucket list CFB experience. And while I’m at it, I expect even less Miami fans on November 7.
Scoot McGee@ScootBarley

Notre Dame fans are gonna hate hearing this, but SMU @ ND is basically going to be a home game for SMU. I don’t think these two fanbases are going to like each other one bit.

Jordan Botelho is a strong UDFA bet by the Vikings. Looked awesome for three games in ‘25, but his torn patellar tendon robbed him of his explosiveness in ‘26. If he gets back to that ‘25 form, Minnesota has a good one.
Alec Lewis@alec_lewis

The Vikings have agreed to terms with the following UDFA… — Marcus Allen, CB, North Carolina — Da'Veawn Armstead, CB, North Texas — Dillon Bell, WR, Georgia — Jordan Botelho, OLB, Notre Dame — Tyreek Chappell, CB, Texas A&M — Monkell Goodwine, DL, South Carolina

A Fishers High School senior faces 13 counts of child sex crimes and right now police say there are at least 10 victims from Zionsville, Carmel, Fishers, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. They are still trying to identify others. The Hamilton County Prosecutor charged 18-year-old Carson Springer with Child Exploitation and Child Sex Abuse Material-with aggravating factors. The investigation of Springer started back in September of last year when police say one of the victim's moms found a sexual video of her daughter on her iCloud account. Police served a search warrant for Springer at the high school where they took possession of his phone and Macbook Pro. Detectives say they found numerous videos and images of girls between the ages of 12 to 17 that live in Indiana and Oklahoma and also CSAM of children under the age of 12. Detectives believe Springer used Telegram to exchange his own personal CSAM collection of 3 juveniles with at least one other person. Police have direct messages of Springer and another person discussing what they like, what they want to see, etc. Other CSAM involves boys between 3 and 6 and girls as young as 8 being sexually assaulted. In other cases, detectives say Springer used AI apps to make AI generated nude images of local juvenile female victims. A Fishers Intel Analyst helped located the girls and notified them. In some cases Springer met the girls in person at a local mall or sent them direct messages through SnapChat. Graphic requests were made to the girls. Springer had his initial hearing Wednesday and bonded out of jail. Law enforcement is still trying to identify some of the girls in the videos that are believed to be local victims living in Central Indiana. Call the Fishers Police Department if you fear your child could be one of them.
