From meeting with the Prime Minister and Polio Oversight Board partners to seeing UNICEF supported integrated services in action in Sindh, the visit highlighted what's possible through strong partnerships. At #WHA79, leaders from polio-affected countries, donors and partners reaffirm their commitment to #EndPolio for good. As conflict and crises worldwide put more children at risk of disease, sustained investment and political leadership are more important than ever.

This month, Governments in polio priority countries across Africa & Asia continue intensive vaccination efforts with support from UNICEF, WHO and GPEI partners.   No child should suffer from illnesses we know how to prevent. Together, we will reach every child and #EndPolio.

UNICEF is deeply concerned by the continued attacks on schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. On 11th May, a Girls Primary School in Tank District, was reportedly destroyed by explosives. Schools must be safe havens and must never be targets. uni.cf/42rPnvE
