@ClaudeDevs @claudeai It’s a bit tiresome when I input a long prompt with all the context an agent needs, paste it in the desktop app, and the agent (Fable/Opus) responds that it didn’t get my message. Then I have to edit the message, re-paste the content so it registers, and Claude responds. I waste turns sending an “empty” message that claims my actually non-empty message was empty before I edit it and get a proper reply. Someone should look into this issue.

@BenjaminBadejo Yeah, 5.6 Ultra oversteps even the most carefully outlined commission, unfortunately. I'm afraid these claims are not false. Best to be careful and watch what it does closely. I would not auto-approve everything or give full access when using Ultra if the risk is too great.

I believe there is an active, organized effort by certain X users to make false claims about GPT-5.6 autonomously going rogue and making destructive mistakes (deleting files, canceling services, etc.). Why do I believe that these claims are false? Well, the X users making these allegations claim that some harmful outcome happened autonomously while using GPT-5.6. But they refuse to share any evidence. They refuse to share their complete prompt, conversation history / transcript, config.toml, personalization settings, or, if they have one, their AGENTS.md file. Without this information, it is reasonable to infer that the allegation being made at a minimum is not the whole story, and may even be an outright lie. They have to tell the whole story. They have to tell the truth.

@thsottiaux Not everyone is a developer, and developers aren’t trying to build every time they chat. He’s right. Doing away with ChatGPT’s chat-only app is a fumble.

Or a generational run. We will continue to make tweaks and we have a TON coming for developers. Meanwhile traffic yesterday sat at ~2X previous peak, team is scrambling to keep everything up and reliable. Time will tell, but I have conviction that attempting to build the one interface to AGI is worthwhile.

I recommend using GPT-5.6 Sol Medium as your daily driver, and for really hard problems to switch to Extra High. If you want the absolute best and are not afraid to burn usage fast, then Ultra is a beast.

@kr0der I just sent it one prompt to build substrate according to a very specific and carefully defined criterion. 5 hour usage gone, 20% of the weekly limit burnt, and it’s not even done yet. Using Sol Ultra but not fast mode. It’s definitely a token eater.

i'm confused why everyone's saying GPT 5.6 Sol eats up all your limits quickly i'm using Sol medium and i've got all of this running for over an hour and i haven't even used 15% of my weekly limit on the $200 plan: - 2 chats running to finish off 2 mobile apps + configure everything in app store connect + make app store screenshots - a /goal porting a whole website into a mobile app - a whole game being built in Unity (only running for ~15 min so far) just don't use fast mode, it's like 3x the price for 1.5x speed and 5.6 Sol is already fast af the usage limits are extremely good, for reference i used up my Fable 5 weekly limit in 1-2 days 💀

@brainchyld_ @ahudovich No, sorry. If you deleted the actual application off your machine before downloading the new version then it may be lost. If you didn’t physically delete though, try searching for “ChatGPT Classic” in your apps and it should still be there.
