From a relegation scrap to a European race in just over a year - how quickly we forget…
Remember January 2025? We were 16th and a point above the drop. Since Moyes came back we've played 45 league games: 18 wins, 14 draws and only 13 losses.
Only Arsenal, City, Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool have fewer defeats. We've conceded 49 goals against an expected 58.2.
Right now it's easy to be frustrated, but we've gone from surviving to pushing for Europe in a year. Let's appreciate that progress and keep the faith.

More goals conceded than last season.
Only 1 point more than Dyche's only full season.
Worse points per game from last season after Moyes took over.
£100m+ spent on new players with about half of them barely seeing the pitch.
Everton haven't progressed this year at all. #EFC

@LuvEvertonForum Different ownership. If Moshiri was still here I would say keep Moyes. The new group needs to show us they want to win. They stabilized us. I have faith they’ll appoint someone worthwhile.

@HLTCO Personally left a few minutes before the final whistle. The club bottled it by not making a massive deal of it at the beginning of the match knowing that another bad result would see this likely happening.
Incredibly frustrated with the limp to the end of the season like most.

Everton fans following me, why is it so few stayed to clap Seamus Coleman around the pitch? Was it just the result dampening spirits? I assumed a load more would have wanted to show their appreciation.

Seamus Coleman says goodbye to the fans in his final home game for Everton 💙

@TheBlueFrontier 1) Because Angus is afraid of backlash.
2) TFG aren’t paying attention.

What are your thoughts on the Statement released by Angus Kinnear? 🔵
Everton@Everton
🔵 Everton CEO, Angus Kinnear, writes to Evertonians ahead of the Blues' final home match of the season against Sunderland.

@Everton “whilst highlighting the patience we need to exhibit if we are going to be serious about nurturing emerging talent.”
Is he blind? Young players arent getting minutes under Moyes. He benches players after they perform well. Thank you but also goodbye.
English

@Everton “Whilst the media and other fanbases clamour for frequent managerial change, we value the stability that David brings and the ability this gives the whole Club to plan for the long term.”
Because he is happy to be mediocre. Gets worse with more options.

@Pu55yman_Dan @FabrizioRomano I’m pretty sure it’s the pop singer.

Everton somehow haven’t had 10 v 11 advantage in a game of football since 2020, but during the same period EFC have received 14 red cards against them 🔴
This vid shows some of the worst challenges EFC have faced
EVEN WITH VAR HOW DID NOT 1 RESULT IN A RED CARD? @FA_PGMOL ❌🤷🏼♂️

@John_B58 @RyanSoccerAA Extending him without Europe is such a poor shortsighted decision if they do. He’s the 6th highest paid manager in Europe so sacking him would be very expensive. I do think giving him £150m transfer budget without an extension this summer is also foolhardy.
English

@USAEverton @RyanSoccerAA He’s likely to get an extended contract this summer.
English

@RyanSoccerAA If we make Europe I don’t think you can sack him. If we play ourselves out of Europe, which is likely, I don’t know how you reasonably can hand him $150m this summer with one year left and expect him to build us better for the future. He is who he is.
English

@USAEverton That's my point. If we are 11th vs. 13th, I don't care as long as we are developing the young talent we have and improving for the future. Now if it were up to Moyes, we STILL need not just what we needed last year, but even more. And it'll all be expensive ready-made players.
