Connecticut's Judiciary Committee just passed HB 5043 — and it's headed to a full House vote.
Here's what they're calling it: a ban on "convertible pistols."
Here's what it actually is: a ban on Glocks and nearly every modern striker-fired handgun in America.
The penalty if you sell one after it passes? A Class D felony. Up to 5 years in prison. $5,000 fine.
Their excuse? Illegal "Glock switches" — a cheap piece of plastic that's ALREADY ILLEGAL.
So their solution to criminals breaking the law... is to punish YOU for owning the most popular handgun in the country.
1,900 people testified AGAINST this bill. Only 50 supported it.
They passed it anyway.
This is the Democrat playbook. Pure and simple. Find a boogeyman. Blame the gun. Punish law-abiding citizens. Repeat.
Sound familiar? California did it first. Now Connecticut. And if you think Virginia is safe — Governor Spanberger has 9 anti-gun bills sitting on her desk RIGHT NOW. This same playbook is already in motion.

Virginia is allowing 22-year-old grown men, illegal migrants who don’t speak English, to enroll in public high school with your 14- and 15-year-old daughters. Mind you, American kids get booted at 20.
Illegals can stay until 22 free of charge, thanks to Virginia Code § 22.1-5(D).
This is exactly why a 19-year-old illegal from El Salvador, who was enrolled at Fairfax High School and is now charged with groping multiple teenage girls in the hallways. This is not compassion; this is putting American children in danger.

SHOCKING: Virginia public schools are allowing foreign migrant non-English speakers to enroll in their high schools up to the age of 22.
Under Virginia law, the standard cutoff for high school is age 20, but a special exception for English Language Learners who first enroll after turning 12 lets them stay until they turn 22 — with no tuition charged if state funding is provided
Virginia Code § 22.1-5(D) explicitly states: “School boards may accept and provide programs for students for whom English is a second language who entered school in Virginia for the first time after reaching their twelfth birthday, and who have not reached 22 years of age on or before August 1 of the school year. No tuition shall be charged such students, if state funding is provided for such programs.”
